DaDogz Get:

C- Emeka Okafor

*****
High Flyers Get:

G- Raja Bell
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Yes Okafor has had an extensive injury history and yes Bell hasn’t had those same injury
problems………..that said….NO this was NOT a good deal for The Flyers!  Okafor will be a
nightly double double threat while playing on a young (all be it depleted) team with several nice
weapons.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>DaDogz:  ++ (DaDogz win our first “Dang, that’s a deal Sean would have made” award of
the year)
>>>Flyers: - (oops…..we’re guessing they meant to hit…”reject”)

**************************************************************************
***10-22-07***
Virginia Victims Get:

G- Mike Bibby

*****
Georgia Underdogs Get:

C- Nenad Krstic
F- Jason Kapono
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

This looks like a pretty good deal for both clubs.  The Victims nab a guard who is proven.
Proven scorer, proven injury-resistant, proven teammate, proven consistent.  Not bad at all.

For The Underdogs it’s the opposite.  Before his injury Krstic was becoming a very solid
Center, now he’ll have to prove himself all over again.  Luckily though, The Nets will give him
every opportunity to do so and thus far he has looked good, if a bit rusty, in the preseason.
********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Victims: ++ (Lost a potentially nice C, but they are one team with plenty to spare…….and
Bibby makes it all the easier to take)
>>>Underdogs: + (If Krstic is healthy add a 2nd +)
***10-22-07***
Louies Legends Get:

F- Travis Outlaw
G- Maurice Williams
G- Ronnie Brewer

*****
Finally Gets:

G- Mike Conley
F- Jason Smith
F- Julian Wright
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Our first deal of the year is an intriguing one, if for no other reason than we won’t be sure who
really got what until December at the earliest.  For The Legends, they get a young guard in Mo
Williams who is rapidly ascending to fantasy stud, the only trouble there is will he stay healthy
for the majority of the year.  Outlaw also comes over in the deal and this should be the year
where he sees some more substantial minutes, question is, what will he do with those minutes.
As for Brewer, he’s looked ok in the preseason but is of course a rookie who has yet to prove
a thing.

For Finally, the entire deal consists of rookies who have yet to prove a thing.  Conley is of
course the the best coming over….or so we think…but we’ll have to wait and see if he lives up
to his billing.  As for Wright and Smith, it’s the same deal, wait, and, see.
******************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Legends:
+ (If Mo Will can stay healthy he could become an elite PG)
>>>Finally: even (Three what-ifs come over in this one)
***10-22-07***
Underdogs Get:

G/F- Raja Bell
C- Kwame Brown
G- Stephen Jackson

*****
DaDogz Get:

G- Leandro Barbosa
C- Nenad Krstic
F- John Salmons
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

This one doesn't look so good.  Sure, for The Underdogs, Bell is good and Jackson is a good
player as well (when he's not having attitude trouble).  And Salmons is far from consistent but
there trouble.  Krstic is still recovering from his ACL troubles but if he rounds back into form
getting Kwame for him may seem like a very bad idea.  But ok, ok, we'll assume he doesn't
ever get back to where he was......and we still don't like the deal.  Why?  Barbosa thats why!
This guy consistently puts up great numbers from the bench, better numbers when he starts
and holy cow if he ever gets dealt, look out!
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Underdogs:  -- (If Krstic collapses we'll remove a -)
>>>DaDogz: ++ (Nice move, should help in the short..and long term)

Sasquash Gets:

G- Richard Hamilton
C- Jamaal Magloire

*****
Bulls Get:

F/G- Quentin Richardson
F Joe Smith
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

So, wait, let me get this straight.  Sasquash agrees to take on Magloire, a center who is having
one rough year, but who does posess some talent and may very well get dealt somewhere
where he'll get some PT.  Yep his contract is atrocious but for Quash, that isn't to big a
problem.  And it gets better for Quash.  For their trouble they also net Pistons sharpshooter
Rip Hamilton, very nice.  The Icing on the cake?  Ditching IRich (we'd call him QRich but he
spends so much time hurt that we'll call him I.R.ich).
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Sasquash:  ++ (They get Rip AND ditch Richardson!...yeah Jamaal sucks)
>>>Bulls: - (Drop Magloire, keep Rip....now THATS an idea!)

**************************************************************************
***11-30-07***
The Underdogs Get:

G- Kevin Martin
F.....C?- Darko Milicic

*****
The Victims Get:

F/C- Al Horford
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Darco sure has a small salary....an area where The Underdogs didn't need help.  And Kevin
Martin is a talented guard.....which there are plenty of in the league.  Where as Al Horford is
already a very good player and he has nowhere to go but up.....which now makes The Victims
beyond untouchable when it comes to the best lineup of Centers in the league.

OkOk, so maybe it isn't THAT bad but it isn't pretty.  Martin is indeed a very good fantasy
baller, but he isn't great...yet.  being as young as he is there is still time for him to contribute
more in the assist and steal realms (2 per game would be nice).  As for Milicic, he sure has had
that "potential" tag for a long time.  He seems to be making strides, but we're not convinced
he's arrived yet.

As for Horford, by '09 you'll see him going in round one of fantasy drafts, period.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Underdogs:  Even (We had them pegged for a -, but we'll bump it up (just barely) a tad
based on Darkos "potential")
>>>Victims: ++ (All they need now is Dwight Howard to complete there set of STUD centers)
***12-9-07***
The Virginia Victims Get:

F/C- Channing Frye
F- Paul Pierce

*****
Finally!!! Gets:

C- Joel Przybilla
F- Danny Granger
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

The Victims nab a GREAT forward in Paul Pierce with this one.  Pierce has been playing very
very well with his new mates and he's also able to sit more too which leads to fresh legs and
great productivity.  As for Frye, he has the talent but his situation is not the best.

For Finally, Granger is already a good player but he is very young and has the potential to
become a top forward in the league.  He's not there yet, but given another year he could be.
Przybilla is a guy who will get you some nice rebounding numbers and thats about it, we'd
rather have Frye.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Victims:  + (In the here-and-now Gerry wins this deal)
>>>Finally: even (In a year or two though, Granger could be quite a bit better option than
Pierce)
***1-9-08***
The Bulls Get:

F- Danny Granger
F- Zach Randolph
G/F- Jason Richardson

*****
Finally!!! Gets:

G- Deron Williams
F- Tyrus Thomas
F- Thaddeus Young
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

So, here it is, the review EVERYONE has been looking for.  How DARE The Rock make such a
deal!!  How dare it even stand!! What a travesty!!  Ok, Ok we GET IT!!  You think The Rock
has LOST HIS MIND!  Well, we dont.  The Bulls make out VERY well in this deal.  First off, we
have JRich, a super talented scorer who can also rebound.  He also remains well under 30
years old.  Next up is Zach Randolph a scoring/rebounding machine who frequently nails
double doubles.  Lastly we have Granger who just can't seem to find a home.  Granger
remains quite talented with loads of potential.

Finally gets Tyrus Thomas, a young uber athlete who has a bunch of talent.  Still, Tyrus
remains very raw and is also stuck on the bench most of the time.  Thaddeus
Young.......seems to fit the same mold as Tyrus though Thad has garnered a bit more pt with
the 6ers.  So, its over right, no WAY Finally can come anywhere near to breaking even right?
Wrong.  Because the last guy in the deal happens to be worth more than any other player in
this trade....a LOT more.  Deron Williams is simply one of the best point guards in the game
and is regularly mentioned in the same breath as guys like Nash, Paul and Kidd.  Give it a year
or two and it will be Paul and Deron at the very top of the PG class of the NBA.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Bulls:  + (got some VERY good players in this deal.........)
>>>Finally: ++ (.......two of the players Finally gives up have had major knee surgeries in the
not-so-distant past.......the PG The Rock gets is one of the best on Earth)
***1-9-08***
The High Flyers Get:

F- Al Thornton
G- Mike Conley Jr.
G- Jamal Crawford

*****
Finally!!! Gets:

F- Adam Morrison
C/F- Emaka Okafor
F- Chris Wilcox
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

In this one The Flyers get some unproven but high potential talent in Conley and Thornton.
Thornton is a player who is NBA ready dispite being only a few months into his rookie season.
he is being given more and more opportunities in LA and by seasons end he should be
entrenched in the rotation.  As for Conley, he is already showing some great potential as a
starting point guard in the NBA.  Crawford is a streaky guard who has some great nights and
some off nights but hes young and if he could get away from the Knicks he could grow further.
Finally gets some already established talent in this one.  Okafor is a VERY good forward when
healthy (and he has been so far this year) and he is learing to be a good center as well.
Wilcox is a good young forward on a young up and down team, but he has potential.  Morrison
has potential too, but we won't have a clue if he can recover to 100% until well into next year.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Flyers:  - (Got some good potential stars, but lost at least one guy whos Already there)
>>>Finally: ++ (nice deal....now Finally better hope Conley doesnt turn into the next CP3)
***1-19-08***
The Fighting Yossarians Get:

F- Drew Gooden
G- Rashad McCants
G- J.R. Smith
F- Chris Wilcox

*****
Finally!!! Gets:

F- Elton Brand
G- Chris Duhon
G- Jamario Moon
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Gooden is a solid forward who is a double double threat every night but who will never really
be a total stud.  The Yossarians (what in the blue hell is a Yossarian anyway?) also nab Chris
Wilcox who, as stated in the review below is a young talented forward who is still growing (into
his role that is).  McCants is nice as weel but we're not sure what Foye's retrun will do to his
PT.  As for Good ol JR.....meh.
Finally is going crazy with deals faster than we can report on em!  In this one they get
Duhon...yay.  Also coming over is a talented (though a bit older) rookie in Moon.  Finally the
big name in the deal......Elton Brand.  he's still not back yet from the injury so we dont know if
he'll come back at 100%, but if he does, he's a stud whos still under 30.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Yossarians:  Even (Some good young players come over in this one but losing
Brand....was it worth it?)
>>>Finally: + (If Brand pans out, this deal looks NICE for Finally)
***1-19-08***
The Virginia Victims Get:

G- Luke Ridnour
G- Jose Calderon

*****
The Bulls Get:

G- Josh Childress
G- Tony Parker
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Ridnour?  No thanks.  Calderon on the other hand is young and showing just how good he can
be when given the PT...and the injury to TJ gave him that PT.  He can score and dish adn he
does all of this with a salary of just $13.
But wait a second here, Calderon didnt com free by any means.  The Bulls get Childress
who.....infuriates us.  Why?  Because he has some very very good ability but only shows it on
rare occasions.  As for Tony Parker, his ability is showcased on a nightly bases, at least when
he's healthy that is.  If he'd stay on the court, we'll take Parker but he just can't stay off the
injury report.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Victims:  + (We'll take Parker...oh wait, he's never healthy....One Calderon please)
>>>Bulls: even (These ratings switch places for a healthy Tony)
***1-19-08***
DaDogz Get:

G- Deron Williams

*****
Finally Gets:

F- Josh Smith
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Now this is an interesting deal.  Mainly because Finally didnt mean to make the deal, but we'll
try and focus on the players and not the back story.
Deron JUST came over to Finally and now, he's gone.  Seems like The Rock has gone nuts
with deal making!  Anyhow, DaDogz get one of the best point gurads in the game and the
bonus is that he's also very very young.  Once Arenas returns the two should make a very
formidable combo.
As for Josh Smith, he's no slouch.  He does a bit of everything and a lot of blocking.  If he'd
reach his potential he could be one of the top players in the game but he remains very young
and still lacks the maturity needed to stay focused 100% of the time.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>DaDogz:  + (Deron is an amazing talent and should lead this team for years to come)
>>>Finally: even (Smith is very good, but he's not up to Derons level.......yet)
***1-19-08***
Crazy 88'sGet:

G- Jamario Moon
C- Chris Kaman

*****
Finally Gets:

F- Kenyon Martin
G- Steve Nash
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

What is going on here?!?!?  Finally wont stop!!!  Anyhow, in THIS deal The 88's nab the 4th
best (yep thats right, better than Amare, better than Jefferson, better than Gasol) center in the
league in kaman.  his numbers may suffer a little when Brand gets back, but we doubt they will
drop much if at all.  As for Moon, well he was dealt like yesterday and our opinion hasn't
changed.  He's a nice rookie but a little old for one.
So they lost Deron unintentionally so Finally goes out and gets a superior player.  Now now,
we're not saying Nash is the better option long term but as of right now he's at the top of the
class.  As for Kenyon, we like him but man does he find new ways to get out of playing every
week or WHAT!
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>88's:  + (This deal helps them long term, and thats what was needed)
>>>Finally: even (nash is great but is stockpiling 1 year players such a good idea?)
***1-19-08***
Louie's Legends Get:

G- Rashad McCants
F/G- Mike Miller
G- J.R. Smith
F- Wally Szczerbiak
*****
The Fighting Yossarians Get:

F- Jason Maxiell
F/C- Paul Milsap
G/F- Ronnie Brewer
F- Travis Outlaw
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Mike Miller is a very good player, maybe even on the verge of stud'dom but he isn't worth this
much.  Basically in this deal, Louie gets a very productive player in Miller, a young guard who
may lose some major minutes soon in McCants.....aaaaaand Wally World and JR.
Meanwhile, The Yossarianson the other hand get....Ronnie Brewer, a young combo player with
some nice potential.  They also get Travis Outlaw, a forward whos had some ups and downs
but he's young and....also has some nice potential.  We finish up with Maxiell and
Milsap.....HEY, both young players with some very good potential!
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Legends:  - (Mike Miller is nice....will he be as nice in 4 years when Milsap and co. are
tearing it up?)
>>>Yossarians: ++ (Nice deal....got some great young talent)
***1-28-08***
The Fighting Yossarians Get:

F- Kevin Durant

*****
The Virginia Victims Get:

G- Mike Bibby
C- Nick Collison
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Cole got Durant back!!!!!!!!!!
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Yossarians:  ++ (Durant has a LOT of long term value)
>>>Victims: +++++ (Gerry didn't have to give back KD......but it was nice that he did...and it
isn't like Bibby is a scrub by any means)
***1-28-08***
The Fighting Yossarians Get:

F- Corey Maggette
G- Willie Green

*****
The A-Team Gets:

F- Chris Wilcox
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

The Yossarians get a nice forward in Maggette.  Corey is a good forward who STILL has yet to
reach his true potential.  If he could stay healthy for a while his numbers would be very nice.
As for Green, he may not be a stud, but his cost?  A buck.
For the A-Team is Chris Wilcox coming over in this one.  Wilcox is a young forward who at
times looks to be on the verge of a breakout.  Hogan is hoping those moments come more and
more often.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Yossarians:  even (Can Maggette stay healthy?)
>>>A-Team: + (Wilcox is a nice player and they freed up a roster spot too)

The Annapolis AnkleBreakerz Get:

G- Charlie Bell
G- Monta Ellis
G- Allen Iverson
F- Shawn Marion

*****
The BIG DOGS Get:

G- Ray Allen
G- Raymond Felton
F- Antawn Jamison
G- Tracy McGrady
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

Oh give us a break!!!  Allen is old and breaking down more and more.  Felton is like Allen, only
younger.  He has potential but just cant seem to reach it, and he keeps tweaking this or that.
Jamison is nice but he's not getting any younger and TMac is a train wreck.  He will never play
in 70 games in a season again and at this rate 60 games in a year is pushing it.

Lets see what Annapolis got for this garbage shall we.  Under 30 mega stud Marion?  Check.
A superstar guard whos healthy and playing at a very high level?  Check.  A young guard who
costs next to nothing and has been producing some nice numbers?  Check.  Sounds like a
good deal to us.  NOT!
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Annapolis:  +++ (Just AMAZING)
>>>Big Dogs: --- (these guys got TAKEN)
***1-28-08***
Louie's Legends Get:

F- Marvin Williams

*****
The Virginia Victims Get:

F- Rashard Lewis
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

We like this one for Louie.  Rashard is a very good player but he's not a stud and when his
deal is up he'll be 57 years old.  As for Marvin, we havent seen anywher near his best.....yet.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Legends:  + (Marvin is good now, but could be a stud down the line)
>>>Victims: even (Shard is nice, and right now he's nicer than Marvin)

The Annapolis Anklebrakerz Get:

C- Marcus Camby
F- Kurt Thomas
G- Jamaal Tinsley

*****
Dadogz Get:

F- Lamar Odom
F/C- Rasheed Wallace
G- Monta Ellis
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

The first thing we thought when we saw this one was that Annapolis LOST.  Camby is old,
Tinsley isn't old but he's not young either and Kurt is....OLD.  Meanwhile Lamar Odom is still
under 30, Ellis won't see 30 for eons and Sheed, well, yeah he's old.  But Annapolis has made
a mockery of age in the NBA taking on older players and winning game after game after game
with them.  So while we'd like to say that this was bad form and will help kill Annapolis come
nect year, we're gonna say bravo instead.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

>>>Annapolis:  ++ (With Annapolis Camby will most likely be defender of the year material till
2015)
>>>Dadogz: + (Odom and Ellis are nice additions.......so is Sheed but he wont last as long)
***2-10-08***
The Crazy 88's Get:

F- Craig Smith
G- Mo Williams

*****
Louies Legends Get:

F- Kevin Garnett
*********************************************************************
Outlook:

What IS Mo Williams??  Is he a Maurice or a Mo?  Is he a PG or really an SG?  Is he a future
stud or a future meh?  Well, we're not sure.  The trouble is, Mo is running out of time.  Not out
of time to play well, but the window for him to jump from good to elite is closing.  As for Craig,
his window is wide open, but does he really have the talent to become a force in this league?

As for The Legends, they get The Big Ticket and make no mistake he still is.  KG is older, and
yeah he even hurt at the moment but there still at least a couple years of "Ticket" left in him.
**********************************************************************
THE GRADES

Outlook

This time we have decided to take the “real news reporting” approach to this deal to try and
accommodate everyone reading this review.

First off, age and cost.  In this deal The Show Stoppers acquired three players whos combined
age is 85.  Their combined cost is a nice round $100.  On The Victims side of the deal we see
a combined age of 72 for their three players and a cost of $33.  A difference of 13 years and a
massive (is it to tabloid to call it massive?) difference of $67!  Fair deal right?  We report, you
decide.

But who cares about silly $'s and age right.......lets take a look at the players involved.  We’ll
do a straight up one to one comparison of the best vs best on down the line.  The best player
The Victims received seems to be Josh Smith.  The best on The Show Stoppers side is a little
tougher to determine.  In a single year league its Pierce who has the most total points but
Rashard is younger and is no slouch in fantasy.  Still we’ll say its Pierce.  Pierce is almost eight
years older than Smith and he also costs $15 more than Smith.  Smith has set new highs this
year in pts, asts, stls and blks while still nabbing over eight rebounds per game.
Pierce on the other hand has dropped nearly five pts per game while maintaining his previous
years numbers in most categories.  Neither player misses many games with the exception of
Pierces 06/07 season where he played just 47 games.  This season though he has been
healthy.  Pierce is still very good but a shade past his prime, Smith has yet to even reach his
prime years.

Next up we see The Victims getting Monta Ellis while The Show Stoppers nabbed Rashard
Lewis.  Rashard is six years older than Ellis and costs $19 more.  Ellis has improved over his
breakout 06/07 campaign and is averaging over 19pts a game now while also adding to his
rebounding and boosting his %’s.  His assists have suffered a tad though this
season.                  Rashard has lost nearly 4pts per game off of last years averages while also
falling off a bit in rebounding (tough to get em with Dwight roaming the paint).  Injury wise
neither player is much of a risk.  Rashard has poured in quite a bit more in the way of threes
though and topping 200 this year should be easy.  Again, in a one year affair its Lewis taking
the crown but over the long haul Shard is a lot older and costlier.  Come next season it may be
Ellis whos worth more in a one year league and like Josh Smith he still seems to have room to
grow.

Finally we have our last two guys, The Victims getting Luis Scola and The Show Stoppers
getting AK47.  At last we see The Stoppers coming out ahead in the age category as AK is a
year younger than Scola but in the salary dept we still see a Victims win as AK commands a
$38 salary to Scola’s $5.  Kirilenko had been developing very nicely until last season when he
totally collapsed into mediocrity.  This year he has bounced back to some degree but he
remain a very streaky fantasy player going for well over 100 one week and just 60 or 70 the
next.  Why is he having trouble, we’re not sure.  He has great talent though and does remain
young enough that he could return to near elite status.
As for Scola, we don’t have a whole lot to go on yet.  He was the MVP of the Spanish League
last season and is a Gold Medal winner too….whoopee.  This is the NBA….so the question is,
can he play in the NBA?  The answer seems to be yes but nowhere near an “mvp” level.  He
kinda reminds us of a Nocioni in that he does something of everything but nothing in huge
amounts.  Obviuosly he stats have been inflated a tad with Yao being out too.  Still, he does
have upside and could get better with a full year under his belt.  This is a tough call.  AK can
be great one night and disappear the next while Scola will be aight one night and aight the next
too.  Its fairly close in our opinions but we’ll take AK47.

Normally this is the part where we rank the deal but we’ll skip that this time.  Instead we want to
know what you think!  Everyone is familiar with our ranking system for trades so…just drop us
a line with your assessment in
+’s or ‘s and we’ll put em up at the end of this review.  Never
fear, names will be left off of your ranks.  Course, if no one responds to this, we’ll post our own
ranks in a day or two.
