Tune in here for all the latest BIG league stories!!
You've read the pre-season ranks right?  Well we're now to the All-Star break and its high time for a mid-
season breakdown of whos who and just who has a the best chances....at a title...or at that #1 pick.  So
read on as guest analyst Neil Clifton breaks down the league from top to bottom and finds out if The
Preseason ranks were anywhere near the mark.

1- Annapolis AnkleBreakerz  57-3

* comparable NBA Team: Boston Celtics (dream team ~ 2004 (?))
Without a doubt this is still the team to beat and is looking like the odds on favorite to add another title to
their impressive resume.  Best record, top to bottom the best talent in the League but age of this team
must be a concern.  This team is built to win TODAY but in two years the Breakerz will be applying for
their AARP card.  Old players tend to rest the last couple weeks of the regular season.  In previous
years their one weakness was at the center position.  Well they gave up a lot to pick up Camby and now
could have sealed the league championship with this trade...  but will his prior injury history be a factor
before all is said and done.

2- Louie’s Legends 51-9
* comparable NBA Team: Utah Jazz (doing it with mirrors)
Second best record in the league and now they are waiting for the BigTicket  to join the party.  The
Garnett trade was akin to the Lakers stealing Gasol!!! One of the deepest teams in the league but
current record could be a little misleading….  Should though challenge the Breakerz for the league
championship..  .  On the flip side there is the injury concern with two of their best players Garnett and
Butler.  If Memphis trades Miller his numbers are bound to decline.

3- Virginia Victims 48-12
* comparable NBA Team: New Orleans Hornets (young, deep and talented)
Young, loaded and very, very good.  One of the best if not the best Center collections in the league.
CHRIS PAUL=MVP.  This team has been constructed to be around from years to come.  Depth at all
positions but still not at the Breakerz level… at least just yet.  Never know what really to expect day-to-
day out of Bibby and AK-47, whose better days appear to be behind them.  Depending on how their mid-
tier players respond the second half of the season will go a long way in determining if this team will be a
force at the end of the year.

4- DaDogz 38-22
* comparable NBA Team:  Los Angeles Lakers (a year away)
Falls right below first tier teams and is always looking up at The Breakerz.  Could very easily knock off
one of the division leaders if the cards fall right in The Playoffs.  Good young talent second only to the
Victims.  In 2 years this team will either gather elite status or will still be looking up at the Breakerz.
Fourth best record without Arenas and he’s finally coming back!!!

5- Bulls 35-25
* comparable NBA Team:  Dallas Mavericks (donut team I – no center)
Great pieces and strongest group of forwards in the league but when Big Ben Wallace is your top center
you are probably in trouble..  With a couple moves this team could be dangerous but still a couple
pieces away of making noise in The Playoffs.  Desperately needs to get Deng back to performing at last
year’s standards.

6- Big Dogs 29-31
* comparable NBA Team:  Detroit Pistons (donut team II)
The lack of Centers will always hold this team back.  Good pieces but after trading with the Breakerz all
of a sudden team looks very old and very injury prone (Allen, McGrady, Baron, Hill… someone get the
trainer ready)

7- Finally!!! 27-33
* comparable NBA Team:  Washington Wizards (sleeper)
Blue chip talent and top-tier position players at PG, PF, SF and SG….     This team is a huge sleeper
and even with a losing record will knock a team currently in The Playoffs out.
Hello Elton we missed you.  If this league was just playing 5 on 5 no one could stay with this team.
Unfortunately not top-tier players at Center.

8- Georgia Underdogs 21-39
* comparable NBA Team: Portland Blazers (overachievers)
Overachieving and giving 110% every night.  Owner took a second-rate team and is slowly making it
respectable.  Given a few more pieces will no doubt make the playoffs in the coming years.  Doing the
most with the least.  Very good group of Centers.

9- High Flyers 19-41
* comparable NBA Team:  New York Knicks (where is this team headed?)
Three great pieces in Kobe, Howard and Bynum but one big drop off after that.  This team could be
great in a couple years with the influx of young talent on the team and some good draft picks headed
their way ….  Best two young centers in the league are a huge plus!!

10- Crazy 88’s  20-40
* comparable NBA Team:  Memphis Grizzles
In a state of confusion – warning: don’t drink and make trades.  Big Ticket trade was a head
scratcher…   With Carter and Artest heading this team the wheels are just about to fall off..

11- A-Team  10-50
* comparable NBA Team:  Minnesota Timberwolves  (problem starts at the top)
Owner is the Kevin Mchale of the Insanity League.  Great young pieces in Gay, Aldridge and Oden and
with any effort at all should have a much better record.  Going to get a nice draft pick next year but
wasted on an inactive owner.

12- The Fighting Yossarians 5-55
* comparable NBA Team:  Seattle Sonics (building for the future)
Stuck in a tough situation and knows that this isn't a quick fix.   (League should really grant a
compensatory "end of the first round" draft pick next year for trying to rebuild this team)
The season has concluded and like every year, we're here with a word from the Champ!

Mark Holmes - "So its Monday now, and you seem to be holding a good lead, can you maintain it?"

Gerry Nason- "If the 310 point lead holds up, and I am lucky enough to win the league championship, I'd like to
say congratulations to Sean for reaching the finals and proving to be a worthy adversary, as well as Luis and
Dave for reaching the playoffs."

MH- "So what has gone into winning this title?"

GN- "I think that dumb luck has a lot to do with winning. I was fortunate enough to pull off a few "Sean-like"
trades, coming up with players like Gasol, Monta Ellis, Horford, Josh Smith, Collison, Ridenour and Bibby. All
who were not on my roster at the end of last season. I also think that Chris Paul probably was the MVP of the
league, as he saved my bacon more than one week."

MH- "What was the price of this win?"

GN- "Well, I am sure that Gasol will lose his Center eligibility next season. Collison and Bibby helped me win
this thing, but Durant, who I traded to get them could become the next Kobe Bryant."

MH- "Is this the best The Victims can be or can you get better?"

GN- "Drafting last next season, I am sure that I will not get stronger, so hopefully my young guys will develop
quickly. I will just have to out do myself in picking another Jared Dudley off the bottom of the draft rankings. I
don't expect to win it again next season, as there are just too many good teams out there and a lot of luck went
my way for this to happen this season. Lightning just doesn't strike the same place twice, but I will be happy if
it does."

MH- "Thank You"
