Not a lot of time this week but we ARE here for some RANKS!!

The Rankings!!!

[1] 1- OkCowboy (Alone at the top of The South)

[2] 2- Transel Titans (Missing both Eli (bye) and Romo....The Titans don;t miss a beat)

[4] 3- Cleveland Browns (The third team at 7-1)

[5] 4- Si JeTs (Still a neck-and-neck race in The North)

[7] 5- Pittsburgh Steelers ( Almost a dead heat between the Steelers and the JeTs)

[3] 6- Long Beach Snappers (Now a full game behind the Cowboys)

[9] 7- The Fishermen (Still holding on to the West lead)

[6] 8- Outlaws (Now on a four game winning streak)

2008
2009
Ok, Ok, so its been a few weeks.  What can I say...five sites...just me...i've been busy!  But here we (we just sounds
better than me...right?) are, BACK with an official Update!  In our first update, we went over how bad it seemed our
rankings were for the preseason.  Now, we fast worward and....its not looking quite as terrible.

***

The Gringos started the year 2-1 and we had them pegged for DOA.  We skip forward a few games and, guess
what...The Gringos ARE DOA!!  They have dropped 4 straight and sit at the bottom of the West.  So, looks like we
were right after all on this one.

***

We also saw The Fishermen start 2-1 but despite this, we still called them a 3 win team at best come week eight!
Well, its week eight now and...The Fish are 4-3.  Not dominant by any means and they HAVE lost two striaght but
with those 4 wins, they have beaten our prediction and sit atop the West.  Still, long term...its NO PLAYOFFS for The
Fish!

***

The Steelers...ahh The Steelers.  Damn this team.  We ranked em 13th, they started 3-0 and we reversed our rank and
said they wouldn't lose more than one game!  Now here we are four games later and The Steelers are just 4-3,  Gee,
thanks for keeping up your end of the deal!

***

Lastly we harped on The Robinhoods.  A 2-1 record to start the season had these merry men in the update and had us
confused cause...we didn't like em yet they were winning.  Well buh bye to all that.  Robinhood is now 3-4 and looking
like They Are Who We Thought THEY WERE!!  Come week ten, they still will be too.

***

But Again...WAIT!!!  Because the TOP of the rankings is what's important and THOSE teams are still dominating.
Transel is still a top team at 6-1 and OkCowboy too is 6-1.  As far as Transel goes, they had a huge scare when they
lost Romo but a quick deal with...yeah...me...has em with a nice Romo replacement, they should be ok.  As for
OK....they, like Transel, has another 6-1 team right on their heels but long term, these Cowboys should be able to hang
onto the division crown.

***

And Lastly, we ranked Si JeTs in 3rd.  Last update we were eating that rank as The JeTs started 1-2 but here were
are 7 games in and they are now 4-3 and the top team in The North so...there.  3rd best they aren't but they ain't as
bad as first thought.  Yeah we said Homer was 4th and this is the WORST team in (any) league.  So what, we're right
on the top 2!! Now lets see where you OTHER suckas rank!

*************

The Rankings!!!

[1] 1- OkCowboy- Still on top

[3] 2- Transel Titans (The Book of.....Eli?)

[4] 3- Long Beach Snappers (From 0-1 to 6-1.....yowza)

[8] 4- Cleveland Browns (Who woulda thunk it...a GOOD Browns team on planet Earth!)

[9] 5- Si JeTs (On top in The North...barely)

[15] 6- Outlaws (Yeah thats right....from 0-4 to THREE-4!)

[2] 7- Pittsburgh Steelers (From 2.......to 7)

[7] 8- Robinators (Just a breath behind The Fish)

[5] 9- The Fishermen (Could lose the division lead this week)

[10] 10- Chicago bears (NOT the division you wanna fall behind in)

[12] 11- Finally!!! (This team stinks...yet they are one game back)

[16] 12- The Waterboys (2-5 is horrid....like their (still winnable) division)

[13] 13- Teton Buffalo (2-5 in The South...its OVA!)

[14] 14- Emerald City Homers (Even more than DONE)

[11] 15- Tony Sopranos Crew (At least Cole isn't giving up...still making moves..minor AND major)

[6] 16- Dirty Gringos (Taking their rightful spot...here.  What..you have more wins than others...SO WHAT!)
Man does working 12hrs a day, SEVEN days a week suck or what!!  Anyhow, lets get to it!

Round Two Results

Titans VS Robinators- OUCH.  We really were hopeful that The Robinators would put up a good fight, but that just
did NOT happen.  Injuries and general inconsistency took their toll on The Robinators as who to start at RB was a big
problem.  The ones that did start did little while the rest of the offense sputtered as well.  The Robinators had a few nice
performances on D, but really, this was just a BLOWOUT.  Final score 365-254, Titans.

OkCowboy VS Snappers- This was a better game to be sure but even it was still a bit of a lopsided win.  The
Snappers had great games from Romo (55), Vincent (35) and Austin (37) but the rest of the offense was average at
best.  Their D, like The Robinators, was good but far from great.  On the flipside, The Cowboys had a killer game from
Big Ben (52) but really he was their only real standout.  Instead, The Cowboys had a very balanced scoring effort from
the rest of the team and only TWO other players would finish under 10 points.  This is what lead to their 374-340 win.

Title Game Prediction

So it all comes down to this.  One game for all the marbles and a repeat Championship for The Titans.  We will remind
everyone that in all the years we have been writing Updates we have never..ONCE called a Champion in the
Pre-Season.  Luckily we heard that The Curse played Titans owner Adam Pedersen in a game of racquet ball.......not
only did Pedersen win, but after the game he chocked out The Curse on his own racquet balls...forever killing the
retched thing!

#1 Seed Transel Titans Versus #2 Seed OkCowboy for The World Title!!

QBs- First off, we'd like to state that it is nice and easy to compare teams when we can just go to the preview screen
and look at the rosters.  It doesn't work so well though when Transel has an ILLEGAL LINEUP!!  Sheesh!  Anyhow,
Brees had a poor game last week.  We'll bet he doesn't have another.
Winner- Titans

RBs- Gore and Forte are nice.  Add to that the fact that Addai looks to be OUT for The Titans and we may just call
this one in favor of The Cowboys.  Whats that?  The Titans have CJ?  Oh...our bad.
Winner- Titans

WRs- Holmes, TO, TJ, Gonzo and Rice for The Cowboys.  Gates, Wayne, Ward, Colston and Kellen for The Titans.
You try calling a winner!
Winner- Tie

Defense- Both D's are nice but its The Titans with the edge yet again.
Winner- Titans

We'd root for The Cowboys, but why bother.  The Titans win, they win big and they establish the only dynasty this
league has even known.  In fact..we'll just go ahead and name them #1 in the 2010 Pre-Season Rankings right...NOW!
Our Pick- The Transel Titans.  Final Score- 389-340
Another Update...and The Ranks are looking a little better
Hey...HEY....we do The Ranks for you guys...so WHAT if they....SUCK.  How bad did they suck?  Lets see here.
Well, The Dirty Gringos are a team we thought was dead before the start.  Can't win a game.  Gonna go winless!!
Yeah, here we are three weeks in and The Gringos sit a 2-1.  But really...did ANYONE see Vick being the best (oh
yeah we said it and that IS True!) QB in the league??

***

It doesn't end there though.   The West Division leading Fishermen.  Yep, we ranked them at 14th.  They started the
year 2-0 and looked great early on.  This rank though...WE STICK BY!!  Come on, this group will never keep this up.
Two wins now...we say, come week eight...its THREE wins total for this team damnit!

Moving on, we come to the 13th ranked team.  yeah that would be the UNDEFEATED Pittsburgh Steelers.  Here
we'll eat our words.  This team IS legit and by week eight...we'll be SHOCKED if they have more than one loss!

Finally, we have The Robinators, the team we ranks at 12th.  And yet again, its a team with a 2-1 record.  This is a
tough one because on paper, this team doesn't look like it should be 2-1, but hey, we're here to say sorry so...sorry.
Will they stay this good?  Who knows (can't get in trouble for that can I?).

***

BUT WAIT...WAIT!!!  Its not all bad!!  We ranked The Transel Titans and OkCowboy #1 and #2 and
look...LOOK...BOTH are 3-0!  Now, we hope The Titans crash and burn and finish with the worst record in the
league.......(we rank em #1....get TRASHED for it, and their lame duck owner doesn't even step up to defend
us....thanks for the vote of confidence Candyass).....but so far, our rank has held up.  As for OKC....we expected a
thank you for ranking them #2....bulletin board material AND we have NEVER (In 10+ leagues and well over 50
preseason Rankings)picked a winner!  So rank #2 is WAY better than rank #1!

After those two though, it does get bad.  The 3rd ranked JeTs have started the year 1-2 and with as many useless RBs
as they have...it isn;t getting any better.  As for the 4th ranked team....yeah...Homer has started a "DOH" worthy 0-3.
Starting BOTH RBs in Atlanta.....idiot.

***

So lets start this all over again with some REAL Ranks!!

The Rankings!!!

1- OkCowboy- So far...the best

2- Pittsburgh Steelers- One of three unbeatens

3- Transel Titans- Guess they won't defend this rank either

4- Long Beach Snappers- Not far behind them Cowboys

5- The Fishermen- leading The West...kinda

6- Dirty Gringos- Tied with The Fish

7- Robinators- Tied with The Gringos!

8- Cleveland Browns- Just lost their first game

9- Si JeTs- WAY better than 1-2

10- Chicago Bears- This team too...is better than their early season record would suggest

11-Tony Sopranos Crew- Hmmm...looking shaky

12- Finally!!!- Looking worse

13- Teton Buffalo- No time to fall behind in this division

14- Emerald City Homers- Oh crap

15- Outlaws- We expect more from this owner!

16- The Waterboys- Is it really this bad?
The Cowboys have done it!!
The Titans have fallen!!
Long Live Zeus's BEARD!!!
The 2010 season is underway....and we hope The
Titans....
CRASH AND BURN!!!
***11-3-10***
One, More, Game.  Just one more game until the 2010 BW Playoffs.  For a few teams, The Playoffs are a sure thing,
for many others, going home is.  But believe it or not, this final game means a WHOLE LOT to many teams in the
middle and as far as seeding goes...who knows!!

The Playoff Rankings!!!

#1 Seed- [11-1 Transel Titans]- For The Titans all things are pointing to their 2nd Title in BW NFL history but there
is still a long way to go.  The Titans control their own destiny, win this week and go in as the top seed.  Lose and its still
possible but falling to the #2 seed could happen.

Final Record- That last game is against the 8-4 Snappers, no easy task but for Transel....a Win.  12-1 and the #1
Seed is theirs.

*****

#2 Seed- [10-2 OkCowboy]- Not quite as good as last year, but still a great finish for the Cowboys.  And hey look,
they look to be on the path to a second title as well.  Could we see a Title Game between the ONLY two
champions...EVER...

Final Record- They win their final game and go in at #2 with a record of 11-2.

*****

#3 Seed- [8-4 Si JeTs]- The JeTs lost last week, and thats what has them tied for the top spot in The North.  Luckily,
they own the tie breaker and even though this weeks game won;t be easy, we see them holding on and winning the
division.

Final Record- 9-4 is their finish and the #3 Seed is theirs.

*****

#4 Seed- [6-6 Robinators]- Really?  this is the best that The West has to offer?  .500?  Oh well.  Only one team goes
to The Playoffs in this division.  And we suppose, it will be ol Robin Hood.

Final Record- Oh The Robinators LOSE their last game but they will squeak in over The Fishermen at 6-7 with a few
more pts scored.

***

#1 Wild Card- [8-4 Long Beach Snappers]- Bummer of a last game.  The Snappers have one helluva task ahead of
them as they will take on the Transel Titans in the last game of the year.  The Snappers will put up a good showing but
it WILL be a loss.

Final Record- 8-5 is the final record here and NP Playoffs.  Meanwhile, 6-7 Rob gets in..no justice at all.

***

#2 Wild Card- [8-4 Pittsburgh Steelers]- The Steelers also sit at 8-4 but their last game is against those Robinators
and it will be much easier to take them out then it would be to fell the Titans.

Final Record- The Steelers go 9-4 and Make it in with the #1 Wild Card spot.

***

Tied for the #1 and #2 Wild Card spot- [8-4 Cleveland Browns]- It all comes down to this, one game for a shot at
The Playoffs and that game is against the mighty mighty.....Gringos.  THAT is why The Browns get in.

Final Record- Teton rolls over...as usual and The Browns get in at 9-4!

*****

So there you have it, The Playoffs decided before the final week even begins.  As for predictions beyond
that...easy....none of you matter unless your name is OK or Transel.  THAT will be the Title Game.  Who wins?  Easy,
that game ends in a complete and utter TIE.....at which point we will award the belt....to Transel!!   For offering the
most....the craziest...and the most lopsided trade offers of ANY team!!
***12-2-10***
Cowboys....Titans.  Thats GOT to be The Title Game right?  Well, it might be, it might not be, but for now we are
only interested in the teams that will be fighting for a shot at taking DOWN either of those two juggernaughts.  So lets
find out just whos who in Round One.

******

#3 Seed [9-4] Si Jets
VS
#2 Wild Card [9-4] Cleveland Browns

The JeTs come in after barely squeaking out the division title over The Steelers while The Browns never had a shot at it
with Transel in the same division.  This game may be dubbed as the  under-rated bowl as both of these teams a strong
yet we never talk about them.
The Breakdown

QB- This call is a bit easy.  The JeTs will start one of the top QBs in the land in Drew Brees.  Sure Carson Palmer will
score for Cleveland but the winner in this battle is a simple call.
Winner- JeTs

RBs- This one is a bit tougher.  For the JeTs its plenty of Dallas RBs with Choice, Felix AND Marion Baber to go
along with a hobbled Ahmad Bradshaw.  The Browns have fewer options and its a safe bet they will start Brown and
Wells.  So who wins?  Well a time share is never good and Si JeTs seem to have embraced one, but Brown and Wells
are far from "sure things".
Winner- Tie

WRs- Unlike the RB situation, we have a clear winner here.  The Browns feature several mid-level WRs and one who
is a better option but also coming off an injury.  The JeTs on the other hand have Fitz AND Megatron.
Winner- JeTs

Defense- Both D's here are good but neither is great.  The Browns feature some of the best DLs in the league and their
LBs and DBs are nice too.  The JeTs meanwhile have a few studs but they also have their fair share of waiver guys too.
Winner- Browns

Summary- We always say that defense wins Championships and that better be the case if The Browns are to have a
shot here.  It will be a good game but The JeTs are the better team.
Our Pick- Si JeTs 390-358

******

#4 Seed [7-6] Robinators
VS
#1 Wild Card [9-4] Pittsburgh Steelers

Well, at least Robin Hood finished over .500.  In the end, that whole division needs to be revamped!  The Steelers are
licking their chops at the chance to prove their value, so, will they dominate or will The Robinators prove that they
really did deserve that division crown?

QB- At least at QB, The Robinators are very strong.  Roethlisberger has shwon that he is still as stud QB and he
should put up good numbers despite being dinged up.  As for The Steelers (Wait..should THEY have Big Ben?), its
Vick who will carry the QB load.
Winner- Tie

RBs- So, how can we call it a tie between Vick and Big Ben?!  Because we are only counting Vicks throwing ability in
that argument.  NOW, we will add his running ability.  That simply means that The Robinators will have two RBs to
The Steelers three!  Add in the fact that those other two for Pittsburgh are CJ and Mendenhall and its clear who leads
this battle.
Winner- Steelers

WRs- For Robin Hood, its only getting worse.  Robin will go into the game with Santana Moss as his top WR and not
many other that are even very good.  Meanwhile The Steelers will have Boldin, Rice and Mercedes Lewis.
Winner- Steelers

Defense- And Finally we come to defense.  Here The Robinators are good but they are also banged up.  The Steelers
come in happy, healthy and ready to wipe out The Robinators once and for all.
Winner- Steelers

Summary- We want to say we'll have another good game here but while we hope that it will be close, this one looks
like it could get ugly...FAST.

Our Pick- The Pittsburgh Steelers 414-367
***12-9-10***
Wait.  What?  No no, that can't be right, lets re-count.  Uh huh.  Yeah, uh huh.  Sure.  It...well....that doesn't
really....does it?  Well it HAD to have been a mistake, how many points on the bench?  Oh, there too huh.  Ok, I guess
we'll just...report it.

STEELERS LOSE!!!!

And we don't give a CRAP if its by 100 points or a single solitary point (or less)!  The fact of the matter is that the
ONE sure thing in Round One turned into a giant disaster.  Neither team really shined but The Steelers just had no real
standouts.  Ok, CJ topped 50 which is big but on the rest of the team only TWO players managed more than 20!!  For
The Robinators it wasn't much better and their high man for the week was Westbrook with 36.5, but they also had a
few other guys with 30+.  When you factor in the fact that only two players got fewer than 10 on D for The Robinators,
and that the kicker for Pittsburgh got...zip, we can come up with a win, for Robin Hood, by .95 pts 282.45-281.5

Then, we had....the other "game".  As we said before, no one really impressed here either but at least the
Steelers/Robinators game had a little sizzle.  This game was just a joke.  Not a single player on offense for The Browns
had more than 15 points.  Not....ONE!  It doesn't even matter what The JeTs did.  Browns lose...REALLY BADLY!!
 286.5-188.6

******

#2 Seed [11-2] OkCowboy
VS
#3 Seed [9-4] Si JeTs

Now, its time for the heavyweights to step in the ring.  In our first breakdown we have Si JeTs coming up against the
World Champion OkCoboy(s).  So, do the JeTs have a shot?
(no)  Lets find out.

QB- Brees VS Rivers?  Uh, thats CLOSE!  Rivers has been nothing short of great this year while Brees has been
equally great.  We won't wuss out with the dreaded "tie" call here though.  Its close but there is a winner.
Winner- JeTs

RBs- Here too, there is a winner but the picture is clearer.  Foster and Forte on one side, Felix Jones and Bradshaw on
the other.  Both teams feature nice RB lists but we would expect nothing less this deep in The Playoffs.
Winner- Cowboys

WRs- On to the WRs and again we have a clear cut winner.  Oh...wait, maybe not. The JeTs feature two HUGE
names in Fitz and Megatron but after them it does get a little iffy with Shipley, Tamme and Jacoby Ford.  On the other
side we have Colston and Roddy White leading the way before we see marginal names like Olsen, Burleson and...TO.
Winner- Tie

Defense- We used up our one "tie" call on the last pick huh?  Well, both teams feature a good defense butthe LB core
of the JeTs is mighty intimidating.  DLs for Ok are...equally scary but they won't score as much as the LBs.  DBs?  We
can't call it, both sides are damn close.
Winner- JeTs

Summary- Yeah the breakdown reads JeTs-2 Cowboys-1, who cares.  In the end, The JeTs should put up a good
fight, but The Champs WILL go to the Title Game....again.
Our Pick- OkCowboy- 318-294

******

#1 Seed [12-1] Transel Titans
VS
#4 Seed [8-6] Robinators

The Robinators took down a pretty strong team in The Steelers but, lets not kid ourselves, the best Robin Hood can
hope for here is to keep this one close and be able to hold their heads up high after the loss.  Right?

QB- Eli on one side, Big Ben on the other.  Sure isn't Brees/Rivers is it?  Still, if forced we will take one of these guys
over the other...and one of em, WILL have a big game this week.
Winner- Robinators

RBs- With Best AND LT currently on the bench, we aren't really sure yet who will get the nob for Transel.  At the
moment its Hillis and Green-Ellis.  Hillis is a solid option but none of their other choices are amazingly appealing.  For
Rob.....its Mathews and Westbrook.  Westbrook..no WAY he goes off, is there?
Winner- Titans

WRs- Like last week, The Robinators just don;t bring a ton to the WR table.  Meanwhile its Wayne, Witten and Ward
for Transel.  Those 3 W's should help lead to one BIG W come games end.
Winner- Titans

Defense- Thier DLs are scary, the LBs are strong, the DBs can score big and all around D-wise, The Titans are just,
plain, better on defense.
Winner- Titans

Summary- Yeah The Robinators were on the winning side of a big upset last week, but this game is a totally different
animal.  We'll stick with our prediction.  It MUST BE a Cowboys V Titans Final.

Our Pick- The Transel Titans- 340-277
***12-15-10***
He stole from the rich, but going into this week Robin Hood is looking for like the poor.......can The
Robinators make it two upsets in a row??
Fans love a great rivalry.  When two teams remain locked in a bitter battle for years.  Lakers v Bulls of the 80s.
Bulls v Knicks of the 90s.  Yankees v Red Sox of the 2000s.  In BW NFL its OkCowboy v Titans.  They've both won
Titles, and they've gone head to head in some of the best regular season, and Playoff games ever.  So this year it was to
be a rematch of last years Title game...Titans VS Cowboys.  Along the way though, the Pistons, Jazz and Devil rays
would butt their heads into those 80s, 90s and 2000s rivalries.  In BW, that same phenomenon took one of those title
contenders OUT.

*****

It was not...Robinhood.  We expected The Robinators to get laughed out of The Playoffs in the first round but they
upset The Steelers in a big win and would move on to round two.  In round two...we got our laugher.  Santana Moss
had a good game with 40.  The rest of The Robinators....didn;t even show.  Their QB Big Ben would get 28.  Not one
other player topped 20.  Not one.  The Titans?  Many many more of their players topped 20.  In the end, it was a
joke...however that does not mean The Robinaotrs are.  After all, they did win their division so some measure of
respect has to be shown.  But against Transel, its just not gonna happen....yet.  Final score 436-281.

*****

Then we had our Round Two thriller.  JeTs, Cowboys, and it was one...hell...of a game.  For The Cowboys, Rivers
would lead the way as usual with 36.  Their defense would also show up big with every player scoring in double digits.
The trouble arose when Foster got hurt and Forte did little on Monday night.  For The JeTs jetsjetsjets (we had to say
it), it was a nearly identical score for their QB as Rivers hit for 36.  And they too had RB trouble with Jones and
Bradshaw getting just 45 combined.  The defense here was shaky but Calvin Johnson more than made up for it with a
40 point outburst.  In the end, one man cost the game.  T.O.  Owens got zip, got hurt and is done for the year.  That
zero point total for the Cowboys is what will keep BW NFL from getting the rematch of the century (or at least the last
few years).  Cowboys 323.  JeTs 335.

******

So now we come to it at last.  One game for The World Title.  We'd ask for a bit more intrigue but we'll settle for the
fact that both of these teams are strong and we should have a good game.  Bit of trash talk would spice things up, but
with The Rock sitting at 6-7......the league may remain quiet for a while.  So only one question remains, who wins it all?

******

#1 Seed [12-1] Transel Titans
VS
#3 Seed [9-4] Si JeTs

QB- Well, at least the first call is an easy one.  Brees versus Eli.  Not close Transel, sorry.
Winner- JeTs

RBs- As for the RBs, once again The JeTs make us eat our words last week when..again..we told the world how
having an RB commity is not a good idea.  This week again they go with Jones and Bradshaw with the rest of the
Cowboy RBs on their bench.  For Transel is Green-Ellis and Hillis with LT and Best on the bench.  Either side could
blow up, or implode.
Winner- Tie

WRs- Calvin and Fitz again for The JeTs.  Those two names still strike fear into anyone they face.  After that its back
to Shipley, Tamme and Jacoby.  The Titans have Wayne and he may be the best of them all, and their lead TE Witten
is a beast too.  Missing Gates hurts but Hines will help make up for that.  Still, its another really tough call as Bess and
Steve Johnson are all that rounds out the list for Transel.  We'll pick a winner, but this is CLOSE.
Winner- Titans

Defense- In this league, we will always say it...DEFENSE wins Championships and this game will be no different.
There is a winner here and unlike the other arguments, this..is NOT close.
Winner- Titans

Summary- The JeTs are a good team to be sure, but The Titans are the better team.  Its not a sure thing, but a second
Titans Title in 3 years, is as close as it gets.
Our Pick- Transel Titans 401-378
***12-15-10***
Just change the date on the banner...another Titans Title is at hand
