Welcome to the Trade Talks section of our site.  Below, you will
find info on all the latest Big-Time trades.

We will break down each area of the deal from the stud Running
Backs to the 3rd string Tight Ends.

The Breakdown comes in two sections, Offensive and Defensive,
each section will be graded separately

After those categories are broken down and graded I'll dole out a
final grade.....and we mean FINAL, like it or not!

For individual player info, click on the "CBSSportsline.com" logo
above for a full player list.

Pre-Draft Trades are not reviewed.....WAIT WAIT A SECOND!!!
For the first time ever, yes...they...are!!

Now the one difference will be...in a normal review I will take into
account the rest of the team and how the deal may affect the
team.  In Pre-Draft (or during Draft) reviews, its just about the
players getting dealt...cause really, a team can totally change
from one day to the next during the draft!

Tony Sopranos Crew Gets:

LB- Desmond Bishop
DB- Kerry Rhodes
DL- Justin Tuck
K- David Akers
2nd Round Pick
3rd Round Pick

*****

The Transel Titans Get:

RB- Joseph Addai
2nd Round Pick
2nd Round Pick
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Is it a bad thing that I'll take Akers over Addai?  Dude was just pitiful last year.  Sure he is still well
under 30 but Addai could just be a cog in a big ol comitee this year....and thats not a good thing
for him.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Crew: - (They got Akers but losing a starting RB and not getting really anything back on
offense...hurts)
>>>Titans: + (Gotta hope Addai is just a nice big sleeper...not a nice big dud)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

Now this hurts.  Tuck happens to be the best DL in all the fantasy land.  Rhodes is nothing
amazing but is a nice addition and Bishop is  top 15 LB.  Nice haul for Soprano.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Crew: ++ (Added some VERY nice pieces on D)
>>>Titans: -- (Bad move)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Crew: ++ (Losing Addai isn't fun but really...it don't hurt that much)
>>>Titans: - (Yeah they got some picks and a starting RB, but Transel sti loses here)
***8-11-11***
The Waterboys Get:

TE- Antonio Gates
WR- Reggie Wayne
LB- Stephen Tulloch
3rd Round Pick
4th Round Pick

*****

Transel Titans Get:

WR- Santonio Holmes
1st Round Pick (2nd Overall)
3rd Round Pick
4th Round Pick
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Wayne is an Elite, Uber, Mega-Stud......a few years ago.  Now, while he is still an upper level WR,
he is no longer a top 10 guy.  Holmes meanwhile just might be getting close.  He isn't as polished
as Wayne but he is a freakish athlete and he also happens to be quite a bit younger too.  As for
Antonio, he IS an Uber Mega Stud but he also has MAJOR trouble staying on the field.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Boys': + (Can't lose in a deal when you get a potential #1 TE (thats #1 in the league, not #1
on a team) and a threat like Wayne)
>>>Titans: + (Holmes is just as solid as Wayne and the picks are nice....Julio, could be big...and
soon)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

Tulloch looks AMAZING on paper but playing for the Titans sure helped him stay on the field.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Boys': + (Got a nice LB...and lost, nothing)
>>>Titans: - (Hurts but doesn't kill)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Boys': + (If gates plays this deal looks pretty nice)
>>>Titans: even (If Jones blows up, change this to a +!)
Tony Sopranos Crew Gets:

WR- Pierre Garcon
1st Round Pick

*****

Finally!!! Gets:

RB- LeGarrette Blount
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Like Wayne, Garcon enjoys the fruits of Peytons labor.  Pierre is a nice WR but he has yet to
really take the next step to becoming an elite WR....at just 26, he still has time to make that jump.
As for Blount, he is a major mystery.  Sure he looked great for the 2nd half of last season but
thats still all we have to go on.  Still, what we have seen, looks mighty nice.

The Offensive and FINAL Grade

>>>Crew: even (The Crew lose this deal..until you factor in a nice 1st round pick that is)
>>>Finally: even (Blount could be big...at least thats what The Rock is hoping)
*******************************************************************

Tony Sopranos Crew Gets:

WR- Kenny Britt
WR- Julio Jones
DB- Eric Berry
1st Round pick in 2012
2nd Round pick in 2012

*****

The Transel Titans Get:

WR- Pierre Garcon
WR- Hines Ward
TE- Jason Witten
DB- Kerry Rhodes
DL- Justin Tuck
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Wait.  What?  Can this be called a rules violation for tanking it?!  This is nuts.  As far as this year
goes The Crew get CRUCHSED.  Britt is done and Julio is hurt.  We do like Julio long term
however and he could be the next Roddy White.  For Transel, they nab a nice young WR in
Garcon and a still-productive but aging one with Hines.  The big addition though is Witten.  He is a
top 5 TE easy and is the top player in this deal.  Looks like The Crew is after that #1 overall pick
with a Vengence.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Crew: -- (Oh Julio is NICE but lost a TON to get him and Britt..he is a massive risk...least hes
cheap)
>>>Titans: ++ (Losing Julio stings a bit.  But the rest of this screams win for Transel)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

On the defensive side of things...who knows!  Tuck and Rhodes are solid options that Transel
gets, but both are hurting bad and may not produce much this year.  As for The Crew, they nab a
KILLER DB in Berry...at least...he was before snapping his ACL.  Now he, like Britt becomes a big
risk going forward but he is young so maybe a near full recovery is possible.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Crew: even (Tuck and Rhodes....meh)
>>>Titans: even (Berry....risky!)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Crew: - (A 1st and a 2nd round pick comes over so that saves The Crew some..too bad it'll be
at the end of the round)
>>>Titans: + (This deal could bring Transel a 3rd Title....oh yeah..its true...its DAMN true)
***10-12-11***
The Dirty Gringos Gets:

QB- Peyton Manning

*****
The New Jersey Crew Gets:

1st Round Pick (Gringos)
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Oiy Vey, how the mighty are fallen.  Well, kinda.  If healthy there is no doubt Peyton would still be
a top 5 option at QB but even in that case, he would still be aging fast and probably on the
decline, if only just a little.  Peyton isn't healthy though and his injury is far from minor.  He'll be 36
before he touches the field again and who knows what kind of game he'll have left.

The Offensive and FINAL Grade

>>>Gringos: - (This gets 2 -- if its not Manning.  He WILL come back but who knows if he'll be
good)
>>>Crew: ++ (A first rounder could help for years.....if Soprano doesn't screw it up)
*******************************************************************
***11-11-11***
The Waterboys Get:

WR- Torrey Smith
1st Round Pick (Steelers)

*****
The Pittsburgh Steelers Get:

TE- Antonio Gates
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Wow, how did The Steelers pull this one off?  Gates is amazing!  Gates is huge!  Gates is
dynamic!  Gates is a TD machine!  Gates is....just about done.  Ok, so he's not Peyton done but
dude is still on the way down, fast.  He is only 31 but has foot issues so bad he may never play in
even 10 games in a season again.  Sure, he can blow up a game but he can also fall apart and sit
in a game, and you never know when that may happen.  Meanwhile the Waterboys nab Smith, a
young up-and-coming WR with good talent and already a good relationship with his QB.

The Offensive and FINAL Grade

>>>Waterboys: ++ (A talanetd WR AND a 1st rounder???)
>>>Steelers: even (Gates is a train wreck waiting to happen)
*******************************************************************
***11-11-11***
The Waterboys Get:

TE- Jake Ballard
1st Round Pick (Snappers)
2nd Round Pick (Snappers)

*****

The Long Beach Snappers Get:

RB- Reggie Bush
DL- Mathias Kiwanuka
DB- Jason McCourty
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Ballard is good and getting better.  Bush is mediocre at best and isn't exactly going to get better
as we go.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Waterboys: + (How The Waterboys can hijack team after team is beyond me)
>>>Snappers: - (Bush is a starter for em.....keeping them picks could have HELPED THAT!!)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

Well it gets better here.  Kiwanuka is a pretty good DL and McCourty is DAMN good and very
young to boot.  In return, The Waterboys got zip.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Waterboys: - (Replacing Kiwanuka won't be that hard.  Replacing McCourty will be)
>>>Snappers: + (They ARE re-signing McCourty....right???)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Waterboys: ++ (Another 1st rounder comes over.  Add in a 2nd too.  And all it cost em
was...McCourty really.)
>>>Snappers: -- (Lame.  So lame.)
***11-11-11***
The Waterboys Get:

RB- Roy Helu
5th Round Pick (Cowboys)

*****
OkCowboy Gets:

DB- Eric Weddle
2nd Round Pick (Waterboys)
4th Round Pick (Waterboys)
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Helu is nice, but he's a WR not an RB.  Besides, Shanahan will ditch him like he ditches every
other RB.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Waterboys: + (Got an RB for nothing, and he's CHEAP)
>>>Cowboys: - (Lost and RB, and got zip for him)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

Weddle is a DAMN nice DB.  Bit expensive, but worth it.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Waterboys: - (Lost another nice DB)
>>>Cowboys: + (Weddle helps out this seconadary)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Waterboys: - (Is it even legal to deal a 5th rounder???)
>>>Cowboys: + (Dickson, Fairly, Von, Dalton...all taken in the 2nd round)
***11-11-11***
The Robinators Get:

RB- Matt Forte
WR- Roddy White
WR- Marques Colston
DB- Antoine Winfield

*****
OkCowboy Gets:

RB- Ryan Mathews
WR- Mike Thomas
LB- DeAndre Levy
LB- Chad Greenway
1st Round Pick (Robinators)
2nd Round Pick (Robinators)
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!!  I mean of all the worst deals I have EVER seen...this one........really
isn't all THAT bad.  Ok, so Rob gets Forte, and he is damn good, AND young.  The Robinators
also nab a superstud in Roddy.  or at least, he USED to be a superstud.  Now though Roddy is 30
years old and all of a sudden, he may be option #2 in the ATL.  As for Colston?  Come on.  brees
spreads this ball around so much you never know WHAT you'll get from Marques.  39 points on
week, 12 the next.  gee, sign me up.

On the other side, The Cowboys get killed.  Right?  Maybe not.  First off they get Mathews.
Mathews who has scored over 40 twice this season and over 30 twice as well.  He is no slouch
and he is still getting better.  They also get Thomas who is a little like a poor mans DeSean.  He is
small and quick and has some good talent.  Trouble is, he needs a real QB.

The Offensive Grade

>>>Robinators: ++ (Yeah, its clear who won this part of the deal)
>>>Cowboys: - (Maybe the Cowboys know something about Forte that we don't?)
*******************************************************************

Defensive Outlook

When will people realize that Defense really does matter?  In this part of the deal, the Robinators
nab Antoine Winfield, an aging DB who seems like a throw in.  He is good when healthy but he
doesn't seem to be healthy often.

The Cowboys nab 2 LBs that can help right now...and in the future.  Greenway is still under 30
and is a very sure tackler...and that = pts.  As for Levy, he is a little inconsistent but he is also
very young and getting better...fast.

The Defensive Grade

>>>Robinators: - (Winfield...yay)
>>>Cowboys: + (2 young LBs, not a bad haul....if Greenway is re-signed that is)
*****************************************************************

The Final Grade

>>>Robinators: ++ (Yep, The Robinators win this deal..but notice hows its no landslide?)
>>>Cowboys: - (Comes down to what those picks turn into)
***11-11-11***
NEW
Louie's Legends Gets:

LB- Pat Angerer
1st Round Pick (9th overall)
1st Round Pick (13th overall)

*****
The Tony Sopranos Crew Gets:

TE- Rob Gronkowski
Some weird 61th Round Pick thing
*********************************************************************

Offensive Outlook

Yeah....The Legends got some picks but they are late in the round.  They got a nice young LB
too.  They also lost THE BEST TE IN THE DAMN GAME!!!  You never..AND THE ROCK MEANS
EVER...deal a player of that caliber on offense without getting one back.

The Offensive and FINAL Grade

>>>Legends: -- (Two late 1st round picks.....better hope them studs last)
>>>Crew: ++ (A TE with 10 years left of being a top 3 guy...damn..I wonder if Lou is sore after this
beating)
