This one kinda speaks for itself.  Brady was an easy first round pick in
just about every league on Earth.  Final score for the year, 5.5.  Ouch.

Ah what a "Soldier".  When he's not busy crying about not getting balls
thrown his way he was sitting on the sideline whining about this or that
hurting.  This guy has IMMENSE talent, to bad he'll never reach his
potential.
It looked like Rickey was LONG GONE from doing anything in the NFL.
Yet this year at the age of 31, Rickey ran for over 600 yards for  the 9ers.
He's not going to top anyone's draft list, but he made for a very good fill-in
when the need arose.
Brady goes down, and Cassell gets called on.  With his weapons, he
should have at least been passable, but he compiled some mighty lofty
stats for a backup on his way to 443 points.  Only question now is.....will
his value hold or will he be sent back to the bench?
Yep, Brady nabs another bad news award.  He's just such an important
player, such a big name, and he isn't cheap either.  Losing him for 2008
hurt BAD.  Losing him for 2009 would hurt even worse......but according
to the talk, it could happen.

Ah yes, nothing is as special as a birthday party, especially TOs.
Especially when he throws the party for himself.  Now, to be fair, he threw
the party to raise money for his charity foundation "Catch a Dream".  But
when the big story was about how TO was upset cause his best bud
Romo didnt show for the party and how that made TO "sad".  Now THATS
a good TO moment for 2008!
Jeebs, this dude is still playin!  2 TDs and 5 INTs was his tally for the
year.  We're not sure he'll be back next year, but why not, I mean 40 IS the
new 30 right?
1st Runner Up
What a difference a year makes!  Last season Andre was dinged up
when he played, and hurt enough to miss seven games entirely.  This
season though we finally got to see the real A. Johnson.  1500+ yards
and 8 TDs worth a total of 493 pts.  Dude remains well under 30 and if
he remains healthy he could garner several awards in the years to come.
This award goes to the Biggest Trade of the Year.  It could be a 7 for 7 deal with
role players or it could be a 3 for 3 deal with STUDS throughout......either way
unless we miss our guess, Denver will be in the running for this award darn
near every year.
This award goes to the best team of the regular season, record counts for a lot,
but it isn't everything.

Who knew!  Forte wasn't the top RB in the draft this year, yet he
surpassed every other RB...in the entire LEAGUE!  1200+ yds rushing,
almost 500 yds receiving and 12 total TDs.  If this was year one, year two
could be scary.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
Some trades just end up looking lopsided at the end of the year....some trades
look lopsided right away.  This award goes to the team that made out like a
bandit..wether right away or by the end of the year.
This award goes to the Owner who was...the best.  What do you need to be "The
Best"?  Good team, good trades, good pickups, good finish, etc.....
Boldin was a total stud this year.  He did miss a few games with injury,
but he probably should have missed several more.  He's young, tough
and we'll take him over just about every other WR in the land!
How can we name LT as our RB of the Year?!?!  He was banged up,
looked like a shell of himself and at 29 years old, he just might be
done.

This shell of a player still topped 1,000 yards, scored 12 TDs and
topped 500 fantasy points.  Maybe he's done, but their a guys at the
peak of their careers who can barely match Tomlinson at his worst.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
We're sorry, but they all can't be good awards.  This one goes to the team
most likely to be irrelevant in the coming season.
Kurts done.  He's to old, been around too long.  Thats what they said.
Then we had 2008.  4800+ yards, 32 TDs, and 500+ points for The
Bears.  All at 37 years old.  Not to shabby Kurt.
This award goes to the team ready to make the leap from Regular to
Post-Season, or possibly Post-Season to Title-Contender.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
This one goes to the team whos....most active in trading.  Making the
most trades helps, but so does making the most offers, counters and
having the good sense to not get killed in every deal.
5,000+ yards, 34 TDs and 500+ fantasy points.  Thats quite a list for
Brees.  Drew takes home a title, the M.V.P. and hes still just 29
years old.

In our final addition to the BW NFL page for 2008 we have our Yearly
Awards page.  Here you'll find our Player and Team awards for the year.

Now, these awards aren't for the NFL and they aren't for "Fantasy
Leagues", these are for The BWNFL!!  Don't worry though, we aren't just
naming names, we'll also give our reasons for our top picks in each
category.  "What do you mean top picks?"  Well, several categories will
have just one winner but we'll have a few awards where we'll name a
runner up or two as well just to give an idea of who else was in the
discussion.  So, by all means, read on, and let us know what you think!
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
This is just Weddles second year?!?!  Dude is totally sick.  he tackles,
defends the pass well and almost hit 350 points......if he ever learns to
pick the ball off with regularity, yikes.
An easy one here.  They won the title in the post season and won the
best record in the regular season.  Add in some nice trades and a few
key additions and its The Transel Titans walking off with this prestigious
award.
Yep, both of their teams pretty much sucked and they didn't even play
each other!  But their hatred of one another has us hoping that they get
they will Finally get the chance to tear each other apart on the field come
2010!
Adam made deals, he made offer, he made counters.  In the end, being
active in the realm of dealing led to....a title!
We really didn't have any drop down MEGA-Deals this year but this one
came close.  The Bears nabbed some big names and a killer WR while
The Titans nabbed the QB that would take them to the promised land.
This one just speaks for itself, should have been overturned the moment
it was accepted.  Oh well, lucky JeTs!
Despite OkCowboy having far from an elite record, owner Steve Fabian
was not only able to guide them into The Playoffs, but once there, he took
an 8-5 Wild Card team and made it to the Title Game!  Good show!
Good LORD!!  For a guy with a good team and a Title, Mr. Perdersen sure
breaks down into a whining little bitch fast huh!!  This award goes to the
person who...well....breaks down into a whiny Bitch the best!
The running game needs a little work, but if they get that figured out it
could be Title time in 2010 for The J..E..T..S...JETSJETSJETS!!
WOW!!  This team will be TOTALLY different come next year.  Sure they
held on to a few good men, but.....thats literally ALL THEY HAVE LEFT!!  A
FEW players is all they decided to retain.  2010 could be ugly.
In the first year of this award, we'll hand this award to its creator, Mr.
Pedersen, for his lovely outburst over  a simple error.  Could he have
asked for a correction privately and with fewer than 400 curse words,
sure.  But he decided to close the door to his moms basement (so she
couldn't sneak down read over his shoulder) and LET FLY!!  Next time, try
not being a moron Mr. Moron.

Mr. Pedersen has a damn good team, but man, it'd be nice if he'd SIMMA
DOWN NOW!!
