Welcome to the Trade Talks section of our BW site. Below, you will find breakdowns on all the latest Big-Time trades. What is a "Big-Time" trade? Well, it isn't Stackhouse for Penny. Basically, if its a team changing trade then we'll take a loook but we won;t be breaking down each and every deal. We'll give our full un-biased opinion on any deals that we breakdown along with our final assesment in the form of a few +++ or, maybe some ---. So take a peek and, as awlays, opinions are welcome! And no, not everyone will agree with all of our reviews, you made a trade and we called you a dummy? To bad!

The Phoenix Suns Get: G- Andre Miller G- Jason Terry ***** The Orlando Magic Get: F- Marvin Williams G- Darren Collison ********************************************************************* Outlook: Well, this one has a very clear and evident winner...NOW. But THEN? We will err on the side of what was thought....way back when. Way back when....the season was young and Marvin still had a bit of promise. Way back when.....it looked like Collison would be a huge breakout in Indiana, not a mediocre PG. Way back when....Terry and Miller were old..but still good. THEN, Magic win. NOW, Suns win. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Suns: (Like we said, they win in the end.) >>>Magic: (Win then, lose now.)

The Phoenix Suns Get: F/C- Nene F/C- DeAndre Jordan ***** The Dallas Mavericks Get: G- Aaron Brooks C- Spencer Hawes ********************************************************************* Outlook: Holy CRAP!! A Trade!! Amazing! To bad its not a very good trade. Phoenix needed help at Center and they got....some. Nene is indeed a Center and he is still just 27 years old. But he is also injury prone and averaging a pedestrian 10 and 7. As for Jordan, he is young, and has some talent. But its not much talent. Then we have The Mavs. They get Hawes who looked great two years ago but seems buried and lost now. He sucks, but he still has some potential. Then we have Brooks whos hurt..and hurt kinda bad. Still, even hurt he's worth Nene and Jordan easily on his own. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Suns: - (Boo...just...total..boo) >>>Mavs: ++ (We hate Dan like everyone else (cept Gerry) but..he won this one EASY)
***11-11-10***
The Orlando Magic Get: F- Danilo Gallinari ***** The Dallas Mavericks Get: C- Andrew Bynum ********************************************************************* Outlook: Now THIS deal happened much more recently so the clear winner REMAINS the clear winner. Now that Gallinari is healthy and playing regularly, he is finally showing some of his potential. Meanwhile, Bynum is also, finally back but this guy, will not be living up to his potential. He'll get hurt again, and/or have his minutes limited. Time to move on, he's not the next Pau/Shaq hybrid. Sorry Dallas. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Magic: + (Losing a Center and not getting one is bad..unless its Oden, Bynum or Yao.) >>>Mavs: - (Getting a Center without losing one is good...unless its Oden, Bynum or Yao (or Shawn Bradley))

The Orlando Magic Get: G- Chris Paul ***** The OKC Thunder Get: F- Greg Monroe Round 1 Pick in 2011 Draft (Orlando) Round 1 Pick in 2011 Draft (Phoenix) Round 2 Pick in 2011 Draft (Orlando) Round 2 Pick in 2011 Draft (Phoenix) ********************************************************************* Outlook: So this is it huh. The deal ripping the league to shreds. Well, first off OKC DID in fact give everyone a shot at CP3. Pretty sure their self-imposed deadline for dealing the star point guard was even extended at some point to allow more offers to come in. That being said...is it a fair deal? Well, as of this second of course it isn't. One team got CP3 and the other got Greg Monroe and some "futures". But therein lies the rub....the future. So, for the Magic, they land one of the best players in all of fantasy. Right? There is no doubt that when Paul is on the floor, he is one of the best, but how often is he on the floor? This season he has played in all his games and is the 2nd best player in the league. Last year though he played in just 45 games and was not much of a factor due to multiple injuries. Only time can tell us if that was an aberration or a trend. On the other side we have Monroe who has some promise, and a buncha picks. Well, lets look at those picks. The Phoenix picks are nice but they may not be all that high in their respective rounds. The 1st round pick has nice value, the 2nd....almost useless. The Orlando pick on the other hand could be big, maybe even top 3 big. Thats leads us to say that even Orlando's 2nd round pick has nice value too. If we further broaden our view, we will find that OKC now holds FOUR 1st round picks. OKC is obviously looking to the future and this deal may help their future. Is it the best trade ever.....no....is it the most lopsided we have seen (that stood)? NO! ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Magic: The Trade- + (Losing those picks hurts but getting a top 5 overall player soothes quite a bit) THE RESULT- ----- (Trouble is...this deal may have gotten this GM kicked!! Was it worth it??) >>>OKC: - (The volatility of the draft means OKC won't know what they really got in this deal for...maybe years. That isn't great, but at least they will have a lot of 1st round darts to throw at the draft wall.)
***1-11-11***
The San Antonio Spurs Get: F- Dirk Nowitzki G- Steve Nash F- Chris Douglas-Roberts ***** The OKC Thunder Get: G- James Anderson G- Trevor Ariza F- Luis Scola 1st Round Pick in 2011 Draft (San Antonio) 2nd Round Pick in 2011 Draft (San Antonio) ********************************************************************* Outlook: Like, a day later here we go again!! This time things are a little clearer though. In this deal, The Spurs try and get back to relevance...and FAST. Dirk is a stud but he is also almost 33. That being said, his play style is also not really one that has a ton of contact so he could last until 34 or 35 before he begins to break down. As for Nash, he too is a stud and he is REALLY old. 36 to be exact. He is already beginning to slow down some but BUT, playing in Phoenix with that amazing medical staff has Grant Hill playing great at like 47 years old so Nash may even last another year or two before a drastic decline is seen. Roberts on the other hand is young, not a stud, but still does have some talent. On the other side we have.....uh....some..stuff. Yeah, Scola is good and a DD machine as OKC claims. But anyone would take Dirk over this guy, not close. Ariza is good. And he is young too. But again a stud he is NOT. Him v Nash? Gotta go Nash even with the age. James Anderson.....is an NBA player and thats about it. Luckily as with the last deal we see some picks coming over. Trouble is, this deal could vault San Antonio quite a bit and push those picks to mid round at best. Makes the 2nd rounder kinda low on the value front. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Spurs: ++ (Helped now, and helped in a big way. And may not hurt much until AFTER next year.) >>>OKC: -- (Sorry but this deal is worse than the CP3 deal. Got little as far as comparable talent in return. A 1st round pick is nice but will it be a top 5 pick? Top 10? Or bottom 5?)
***1-11-11***
The Dallas Mavericks Get: G- Kobe Bryant G- Chauncey Billups G- Mario Chalmers F- James Johnson ***** The New York Knicks Get: F- JJ Hickson G- Kyle Lowry G- Mo Williams C- Mehmet Okur 1st Round Draft Pick in 2011 Draft (Dallas) ********************************************************************* Outlook: Oh look, another blockbuster. In this one we have some more aging studs changing teams. Kobe is of course the biggest name involved. Kobe has been a super-stud his whole career so coming down to regular stud status this year has many up in arms. Kobe is older but still just 32 and should still be a stud for a few more years injury or not. As for Billups, he is also getting older but he has been a top PG for many years and injury has hurt him a bit this year. Still, Nash, Kidd and others have shown that a good PG can remain good well into their 30's and Billups has been returning to form of late. As for James and Mario.....they seem to be throw ins. NY really gets zero studs in return but gains some nice depth. Mo Williams has been playing well and putting up similar (fantasy) numbers to Kobe thus far. Lowry too has been putting up nice numbers but Brooks will always hurt his value some. Buth are quite a bit younger than Billups and Bryant and cheaper too. The throw ins for NY though may....not be. Okur has been hurt all year but if he returns and plays well he has the ability to put up some nice numbers and he is a C. He is over 30 but Okur also does NOT bang like a normal center so that may help longevity. As for JJ, who knows. he has been erratic all year but he is cheap, just 22 and did go for 23/17 on the 9th. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Mavs: + (The Mavs DO get better now.....but will it get them to the playoffs?) >>>Knicks: ++ (This deal does help Dallas but even still, the 1st Round Pick could be top 7 and thats nice. Shedding age and $$ also help NY in their rebuilding quest)
***1-11-11***
The Washington Bullets Get: C- Samuel Dalembert F- Kevin Garnett G- Kirk Hinrich F/C- Troy Murphy ***** The OKC Thunder Get: G- Jrue Holiday F- Ryan Gomes ********************************************************************* Outlook: LETS BLOW UP THE LEAGUE!!! Its all over!!! The sky...IS...FALLING!!! Wait, maybe not? Before we all freak lets take a peek. So, The Bullets get a lot of guys in this one. They nab Dalembert, a center. A center who has been anything but consistent in his career and a guy who is still anything but predictable. They also get KG one of the all time great forwards. A guy who is also getting old..fast. He is 34yrs old, costs 38$ and is getting hurt more and more. Yep when he plays he has been playing very well but he is no longer a mega stud, stud or even a star. Next up is Kirk. Kirk is a good guard who is not a star but he is pretty consistent. He is also already 30 (that was fast) and will never be anything more than what he is now, which is a good guard. Finally we have Troy. Talk about your flame out! As recent as one year ago Troy was a DD lock every night. Now he is a lock for 4 and 4 and to play 1 of every 5 games. He is 30, injury prone and..well, might be done! Or he could rebound and become a 10/10 guy again with some nice value. Holy S%$T!!! Its horrible!!! Yer darned right this deal is lopsided because the only possible stud in the deal is JRUE!! Yeah yeah ya'll make fun cause I'm all about Jrue. But lets see here, Jrue is 20. he is averaging 15, 7 and 4. He is still getting better and might start being a DD threat soon. He costs just 15$ and is signed for 5 years. In 5 years ALL the other players in this deal will be sitting at the retirement home with Shaq and Kobe!! The remodel of OKC continues and guess what.....its not looking so bad for a title run come 2012-2013 if this owner can stick with the plan. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Bullets: + (Got better depth wise and thats what they needed to finish this Title Contending team) >>>OKC: ++ (Got better later, got cheaper now, freed up roster space now. Just what this team needs for the future title run)
***1-11-11***
The LA Lakers Get: C- Andris Biedrins F- Martell Webster ***** The Portland Trailblazers Get: F- Al Harrington F- Lamar Odom ********************************************************************* Outlook: Whew...finally a lame little deal with no massive reprucussions. In this one the Lakers nab forward Martell Webster, a young forward who plays well but will never be much more than he is now. Also coming in is Biedrins. Andris is a solid rebounder but...thats about it. If he could get back to scoring in double digits he would have a lot more value. As it stands though he is a mid level center at best. Portland's side includes Harrington, who is admittedly not the player he used to be. Still, he turns in good scoring and rebound numbers and has been pretty durable during his career as well. The second player in the deal is Odom. As far as he goes, like Harrington he is older (both are 30+), and he too isn't quite what he used to be, but Odom is on the border line of still being a stud! Nearly averages a DD and he too is also a very durable player. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Lakers: -- (Looked for a pick coming their way but didn't see one....that sure would have helped. They got younger and cut cap space but it just ..wasnt..worth it.) >>>Blazers: + (Got older...and a LOT better)

The Phoenix Suns Get: G- Dwayne Wade ***** The Brooklyn Nets Get: C- Tyson Chandler G/F- Andre Iguodala ********************************************************************* Outlook: And we have yet ANOTHER blockuster.....right? Well, lets see. The Suns get D Wade a Mega-Stud with the ability to.....to.....um...to beat up his body so bad that at 29 yrs old he breaks down like a 33 year old? Yeah, that sounds about right. Ok, ok, yes Wade can fill up a stat sheet like VERY few other players can, but the downside is he always keeps you on edge as to when he may go down again. On the other side The Nets get Chandler. Tyson has been a good center through the years but now with Dallas he is back to averaging a DD and that adds quite a bit of value to him. As for Iggy......well...we're just not sure. Until this season he has been like a mini-Wade almost. Able to fill up the stat sheet all over the place. But now he has regressed some with a bit less....across the board. Still, he (again up till now) has been very durable and a nice producer. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Suns: + (Getting Wade.....you NEVER get a -) >>>Nets: + (Losing Wade hurts but the Nets got two very nice players in return)

It is HIGH TIME.......that someone steps up, cuts through allllllll of the Candyassery.....and sets...This...League...STRAIGHT!!!! And that someone...is here...because...FINALLY!!!! THE ROCK HAS COME BACK!!! First off, The Peoples Champion was trying to remain the upstanding competitor that he is!! The Peoples Champion has NOT had the year he had hoped. He has had his ass whipped from pillar to post ALL..YEAR...LONG!!! And when that is the norm....even The Rock himself will Know his Role...and SHUT his Mouth!!! But enough...is ENOUGH!!!! The Rocks win total may be so pathetic that it can be directly compared to how many times Sean Edward has tasted pie in his life but despite that fact, the Rock needs....no...The Rock..MUST take control of HIS LEAGUE!! Dan Oneill......DAN ONEILL.....for the LOVE..of...GOD...KNOW YOUR ROLE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH!! You are NOT...and The Rock means NOT the picture of perfection!! You have made some damned poor choices in the past. Allen Iverson. Josh Childress. Tiago Splitter. And lets not forget your prom date Rubio!! All of those names have been carved into your headboard at one point or another...and all of those names have gone on...to check their Candyasses DIRECTLY Into The SMACKDOWN HOTEL!!! Now, The Rock will say that yes, you did manage to convince others of their greatness...but do NOT go on telling The Peoples Champion that it was YOU who really did believe they were the next big thing!! The Rock has also seen the occasional dud from you as well!! Dealing away VC, Harrington and Kris Humpries for Marvin Williams, Gomes and Collison. And you claim you can see the future. You let DJ go once...and the best you got back was....Vince Carter. Dealt Rose and Harden for Iggy and Dalembert. So indeed, you have made some deals that....in hindsight (NO..not THAT kind of hindsight Delgado)..... look pretty pathetic. Now then, that being said......and also having it be said that there is no one....and The Rock means NO ONE that he despises...hates...LOATHES more than Daniell ONeill......despite all of that....The Rock can speak from experience....The Rock can speak from FACT, that this owner can turn ANY team into a title contendor...and he can do it fast! The Rock spoke on trades from other leagues earlier...well he can also speak on other teams and Dan has taken at LEAST one..from the total and complete ROCK BOTTOM to the top...in less than two years. The Rock has sat...and he has watched Candyass after Candyass trash on Dan for straight up STEALING top talent from team after team!! Does no one realize that it just makes them look even more like the Donkey Nuts Owners that they are?? "Hi...I am angry that Dan made a trade I could never have gotten done so now I will trash him because I feel very low and stupid and by throwing venom at the owner who is better than me, I can feel a bit better and now I can go back to helping my mom make dinner then I will go clean my room (its in her basement)" PLEASE!!! Give, The Rock, A BREAK!!! You know whos "Game" is tired Pat? An owner who sits in the middle of the pack and never does anything to make themselves a better team!! Aside from Strickler (who STILL thinks this is fantasy Cricket)...Pat has made the fewest deals of any team in the league!! Is it because his team is so dominant he needs to make no deals? Or is it because he hasn't got the stones to give it a shot? Or is it simply because he just....doesn't...know....how!! Mark these words....within 6 (in season) months...Dan will turn the players he just got into a group better than what CP3 was. So for the last time....if you don't know how to talk...SHUT YOUR MOUTH!! (By the way, The Rock really likes the different text abilities he gets here...perhaps The Peoples Champion should have his OWN page!!!) "What do you mean" Says Pat and Delgado and...COLE. Well it is simple...if you are going to call someone out...and they come back at you......and when they come back at you, they say PROVE IT......Your Jabroni Ass had BETTER be ready to respond!! Maybe you get your facts straight and win an argument...maybe you don't. But at least have the testicular fortitude to take off your 10 cent jacket...walk down to the mic...and say...SOMETHING!!! Now, The Rock is going to review this..."deal"...then he will go back to mowing the lawn outside the BW NBA corporate office because the Rock KNOWS thats about all he is good for....this year. As for the future.....The Rock is and will always be...THE MOST ELECTRIFYING MAN In Fantasy Entertainment today......tomorrow...and long AFTER Dan has gotten a date.....with a woman other than Louies Mom!!! IF YA SMELLLLLLL.......WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN!!!! So lets see here..time for The Rocks review (and he has been told to stick to the current format...ok) The Orlando Big Mouths Get: G's- A lot of G's...like a plethora of G Units in fact ***** The Miami Heat Get: G's- A couple of em F- And one of these too ********************************************************************* Outlook: Paul and two losers go to Miami. Curry. Not as good as Paul but still DAMN good. Mayo.....might be better at hitting HRs these days but who cares..maybe he can jack more threes on steroids. And Roy....BAD knees but its ok...Dan will probably get Deron for him. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Orlando: + (Got a round 1 pick too......typical) >>>Miami: -- (The Rock will leave the minuses red to make you feel better....moron) |
