We'll give our full un-biased opinion on any deals that we breakdown along with our final assesment in the form of a few +++ or, maybe some ---. So take a peek and, as awlays, opinions are welcome! | The New York Knicks Get: G- Brandon Jennings 1st Round pick (Pipers) ***** The Pittsburgh Pipers Get: G- Kobe Bryant G- Chauncey Billups F/C- Udonis Haslem ********************************************************************* Outlook: And who better to start the year off with a blockbuster then NY, cept, this time its the other team nabbing all the stars. NY didnt look all that great before this deal. After it, they look like its already over for 2011/2012. Sure they nab a very nice young guard in Jennings and a 1st round pick but what they lost, hurts....at least for now. As for the Pipers, the world champs nab one of the best guards in the league in Kobe and a darn nice one with Billups. The rumors of Kobes demise are FAR from true and he should remain quite studly for at least another two years. As for Billups he too still has come gas in the tank and could prove instrumental in another title run for Pittsburgh. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Knicks: - (May help for the future, but in the present, this team sucks) >>>Pipers: ++ (One move could net them a second title in a ow (And Haslem looks DAMN good early on)) |

The Toronto Raptors Get: F- JJ Hickson G- Dwayne Wade 1st Round Pick ***** The Phoenix Suns Get: G- Darren Collison F- Boris Diaw C- Spencer Hawes 2nd Round Pick ********************************************************************* Outlook: Well there is one BIG prize in this one and its easy to see who it is......Spencer Hawes? Who knew! After being a decent center in his first four season, Hawes has broken out so far this year and he is averaging 12 and 12! He is only 23 and if he can keep this up he could become a major contributor for year for Phoenix. Also coming over to the Suns was Diaw who can put up numbers but is far from a stud and at 29 isnt getting any better. As for Collison, he is a mystery. From time to time he will flash a game that shows massive potential but far to often he puts up 14/6 lines that are far from inspiring. On the other side we have the real prize of this deal, Wade. Dwayne is a 100% superstud who is capable of putting up numbers that few other players can. Trouble is, he is also fearless to a fault, blazing into the lane and frequently absorbing punishment that would make Shaq wince. Because of this fact Wade is becoming brittle in his advanced age.....and at nearly 30 years old (HOLY HELL is he really THAT old!!??), it may only get worse. Luckily for Toronto, Wade should still dominate for at least two more years. The we have JJ. Hickson, like Hawes has flashed some great potential but hasn't really ever become consistent. To pick one over the other....thats tough!...so we won't ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Raptors: + (Nabbed a mega stud and replaced Hawes with...a nearly identical playa) >>>Suns: even (The Suns got some nice players for Wade....but should have been able to get them WITHOUT losing the pick)

The Toronto Raptors Get: F- Wilson Chandler G- Gerald Henderson ***** The Portland Trailblazers Get: F-JJ Hickson G- Roddy Beaubois ********************************************************************* Outlook: JJ sure lasted a LONG time in Toronto! Like, a day! So Portland now owns this double double threat while also getting Beaubois. As far as Roddy goes he is ....young. He has some talent but it may take a while before he is starter worthy. Toronto gets the stranded Wilson Chandler and the interesting Gerald Henderson. Gerald has the capability to light up the scoreboard and he's also a great rebounder for a guard. At just $5 he could prove useful in the long term. As for Wilson, he too is dirt cheap and he can put up some good numbers too. Too bad he is stranded overseas. Still, when he gets backhis development should continue nicely. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Raptors: ++ (A nice young forward and a nice young guard...3rd + if Wilson was here now) >>>Blazers: - (A second - if Wilson was playing now)

The Utah Jazz Get: C- DeAndre Jordan F/C- Greg Monroe F- Tristan Thompson 1st Round Pick ***** The OKC Thunder Get: C- Dwight Howard 2nd Round Pick ********************************************************************* Outlook: Wow, a Jazz trade. Must be filling their quota for one a year! But...oh what a one it is!! OKC just nabbed THE..BEST...PLAYER in ALL of Fantasy NBA. What? Your guy is better? No. He isn't. Love? No. LeBron? Take a seat. Durant? Can't hold Dwight's jock. Westbrook, Rondo, Rose, Deron and CP3? No, Puhlease, Sorry MVP, Broken, and No thx. Dwight is the best. Nothing more need be said. So, how on EARTH does Utah NOT get crushed in this deal? Easy, by nabbing some DARN nice talent of their own. DeAndre is just 23 and is finally starting to produce nice numbers. Monroe is young but is WAY ahead of Jordan and is already a 20/10 threat every game. Tristan is well behind the other two of course but even he is already coming close to going DD every now and then. At 20 years old, he could be pretty nice in a year or so. Add in a 1st Round Pick and hey, Utah....could have.....won? ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>OKC: + (Got Dwight. Dont care WHAT they lost....thats a win) >>>Utah: ++ (Dwight couldn't help them get to the Playoffs. But in a year or so the players they got...just might)

The OKC Thunder Get: F- Al Harrington G- OJ Mayo G- Delnote West ***** The Toronto Raptors Get: F- Trevor Ariza G- Ronnie Brewer C- Kwame Brown ********************************************************************* Outlook: Well, this sure...is..and..underwhelming deal. Suppose that Harrington is the big catch here. And dude DOES have some skills. At 31 years old he should still be viable for a few years. The rest of these guys are throughly average. Mayo keeps regressing. West is mediocre at best. On the other side Kwame is remembered only as MJs biggest failure (which MJ really isn't even responsible for). Brewer. Yay. And Ariza, the most inconsistent guy...ever. No picks dealt. Contracts similar. Lets name a yawner. I mean winner. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Raptors: + (Harrington helps and Mayo still has a tiny bit of hope) >>>Thunder: - (Why?)

The New York Knicks Get: G- Aaron Brooks G- Evan Turner 1st Round Pick 1st Round Pick (Phoenix) ***** The Toronto Raptors Get: C- Andrew Bynum G- Baron Davis F- Tyrus Thomas ********************************************************************* Outlook: Tyrus is scary. So is Bynum. And hey, so is Baron! But for different reasons. Tyrus is scary because he remains a freakish athlete but just doesnt "want" it. Making him erratic but surely worth owning. Baron is scary because of similar reasons. He has the talent to (still) be a top 7 point guard but would rather just coast along. He is also pretty brittle. But again, worth owning for sure. Then we have Bynum. In the past he has had a long injury history related to his knees. Thats bad. He has also seemed immature and not focused as well. Thats bad. This year though he has been eating opposing big men for snacks. Thats GOOD! Should he keep up this level of production the Raptors don;t win...they CRUSH. But all that remains to be seen. As for the players New York received? Both are young and have a nice skill set, but Turner is starting to look more like a bust then a breakout and Brooks.....well, he won't even get to play this year. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Knicks: - (Losing Bynum brings NY down to ONE usable Center. Better hope them draft picks can get ya more C's!) >>>Raptors: + (Lost their 1st rounders, but gave up little player-wise for a GREAT looking big man and some nice role players.)

The Washington Bullets Get: C- Nene G- JJ Redick ***** The Dallas Mavericks Get: C- Samuel Dalembert F- Devin Ebanks 1st Round Pick ********************************************************************* Outlook: Well here we go. FINALLY one of the Mavs "Discount Big Men" has been sold. To Sean Edward. Sure it was a bit of a discount. But ol Lou is like the used car guy who keeps claiming this "cherry" ride is being sold at a huge discount.......meanwhile you are staring at a 1993 AstroVan with 281k miles with a $9,995 sticker and trying really hard to see any discount while also attempting to keep from pulling out your 9mm and blowing this fool salesman away! In the end, Nene is better than Dalembert. Ebanks is better than ......the AstroVan, but not by much. The pick is what the Mavs really wanted, and they got it. Actually, its like Sean bought the AstroVan, traded in an AstroVan with fewer miles but a very temperamental engine but just as he was driving off the lot with his "discount", he truned around and bought the "warranty" on the Van he bought. SUCKER!!!! ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Bullets: even (NEVER buy the warranty!!!) >>>Mavs: + (Thank You Sir! Please come back in a few weeks for that undercoating and rustproofing!! I'll throw in some fuzzy dice and a Tim Cole autographed "Iowa Sucks" T-Shirt!!)
***1-10-12***
The Seattle Supersonics Get: C- Samuel Dalembert C- Roy Hibbert ***** The Dallas Mavericks Get: C- Al Horford C- Nikola Vucevic 1st Round Pick ********************************************************************* Outlook: So, a whole BUNCH of Centers got dealt in this one. Three of them are guys you wanna own. One of them is named Dalembert. Sure, sure Dally has actually been playing fairly well this season but he is still wildly inconsistent. He's also 30 so don;t go looking for a breakout or anything. Luckily for Seattle, the other Center they got MORE than makes up for having to take on Dalembert. Hibbert is an All-Star, in name and skill level. He is averaging nearly a double double, he is a legit 7'2" and he is only 25 years old. Nice. Add in his tiny salary and he makes for a very nice addition. But. Um. Horford is better than Hibbert right? Well. He used to be. Al is out for the year after tearing his pectoral muscle completely off the bone. Sounds bad. Could BE bad. But we really won;t know until 2012/2013. So the obvious choice is Hibbert for now. As for Vucevic, he is raw....like cold beef raw. But he DOES have a nice skill set that could be molded into....well.....into a player easily worth more than Dalembert. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Seattle: even (If Seattle sucked they'd get a - for this deal. But they are in the hunt for a high Playoff seed and maybe even a Title chase, therefore, losing Horford makes some sense) >>>Mavs: + (But in the end, The Mavs win the deal)

The Brooklyn Nets Get: G- Evan Turner G- Lou Williams ***** The New York Knicks Get: F- Rudy Gay 1st Round Pick ********************************************************************* Outlook: Wait, we thought NY was in a total rebuild mode. So why then did they deal two of their young prospects for an older (but still young), high end forward? Unless NY is out to own the ENTIRE first round of next years draft! Oh, they dealt Gay just days after getting him? Got it. In the meantime, Brooklyn nabs two players who are very young and also dripping with talent. Lou Will plays just 25 minutes a game and yet he tops 15 points almost every night. Thats darn nice. If he ever got a starting gig, 20+ would come easy. As for Turner, he is still very new to the NBA but his skill set should lead him into prominence sooner rather than later. Both guys are very nice gets. As for Gay, he is playing perhaps his best season ever. At just 25 he still has many many years left of this level of performance, but reaching that "Stud"/"Elite" level may be just out of his reach. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Nets: + (Got younger and better) >>>Knicks: even (Yep, a red even...cause NY did win a little. Gay is very nice but we think NY was really after the pick)

The Toronto Raptors Get: F- Rudy Gay G- Jrue Holiday C- Enes Kanter F- Thaddeus Young ***** The New York Knicks Get: G- Wilson Chandler F- Kenneth Faried G- Gerald Henderson F- Chandler Parsons C- DeMarcus Cousins NO PICKS!! ********************************************************************* Outlook: Yes thats right, an NY deal that did NOT involve any picks! What it did involve though, is a ton of talent that is VERY difficult to evaluate. But we'll try. Gay, you already know. he's great but no stud. As for Jrue, this guy is better than you think, WAY better. he is 21 years old and averaging 14/4/3. Given another season (and maybe a training camp), he could get to 17/8 with ease. Just watch. Thad seems to be a little stuck though. At times he looks like the next...well....Rudy Gay. At others he seems content to go for a 10/3 line. He is only 23 so he has time on his side, but we'd like to see a little more progression. Enes? Um. No idea. Dude is still a teenager for crying out loud. Lets see, the downsides? He has bad knees. The upsides? He can shoot, is quick for a 6'11" guy, he can defend, he already has a good set of post moves and he can rebound. The good FAR outweighs the bad here. Kanter could be gold in a year or two.......if the knees hold up. For NY, lets get two guys out of the way real fast. Parsons. 23 years old Forward. Decent player, but FAR from a stud now, and won't be one later. Could be serviceable down the road but thats about it. Henderson. 24 year old F/G combo. Better than Parsons and is improving but becoming a stud? Probably not. Worthy of a roster spot? Oh yes. Moving on we find Wilson Chandler. Chandler came at a bargain price because, well, he isn't playing. At least not in the US. He should be back soon though and when he does return, he could easily return to playing at a 15/6 level, or better. (And DAMN is he cheap!). Next we have Faried. This guy plays like a 6'8" Allen Iverson! No no, not in the scoring sense, but the guy does give everything he has on every single play. Seeing him play is one thing, seeing him practice is another. His playing time is very limited but on the practice floor the guy is nuts. he may never average more than 7 or 8 points a game but topping 10 rebounds could be EASY....even with just 20 minutes a game. And then we have Cousins. Remember this guy?>>>>>>>>>>>> Yeah, thats Anthony Mason and aside from his hair, he was known for one thing, being nuts and scary. He just wasn't all there and he could scare you out of your shoes with just a stare if he felt like it. Sounds a lot like Cousins. DeMarcus fouls a lot...A LOT. He is big, physical and he throws his weight around all the time, many times to the detriment of his team. He is also....not all there as he seems to have little regard for who he runs into or who he straight up runs OVER. He's also been vocal about not liking where he plays and that never helps you with gaining the respect of your teammates. But, DeMarcus is also DRIPPING with elite level talent. He can score and rebound in bunches while shooting a respectable % from the line (A good thing since defenders are usually hanging off of him). He may be the one guy who could stand in if Griffin went up for one of his power slams....and send Blake, back to Earth. trouble is....mentally...Cousins is still in a galaxy far, FAR away. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Raptors: even (If jrue pans out, this deal looks pretty good) >>>Knicks: + (DeMarcus could be a STUD....or...he could go into the stands to fight a Cotton Candy vendor)

The Phoenix Suns Get: C- Andrew Bynum G- Baron Davis G- Trevor Ariza ***** The Toronto Raptors Get: F- Amare Stoudemire G- Andre Miller G- MarShon Brooks ********************************************************************* Outlook: Uh Oh. Looks like we may have a robbery on our hands. Because guess what, Bynum....is for REAL. Legit seven footer. Just 24. Healthy. And still has room to improve. The only thing keeping Bynum from being called the best....let me clarify...THE....BEST....center in the league is his old knee issues. He plays all 66 and thats it, buh bye Dwight, yer #2. The Suns also got Ariza. Worth owning, but not really a prize. They got Baron too! But with Lin playing like a superfreak.....fat ass....I mean, Baron Davis, may find touches tough to come by. So did the Raptors get anything studly back for Bynum? Kinda. They got Andre, but he is old and mediocre. They also got MarShon. Hmmm..could be something here. The rookie guard has proven he may already have the skill set to play big minutes and put up big scoring numbers with some nice auxiliary numbers to boot. he's been hurt, but his development should continue. And lastly we have Amare. We want to say Amare is GREAT a total STUD. But, we just can't. Don't worry, he is still a very very good Forward with double double capability every night. And if we just look at the now, this deal IS close. But in five years when Bynum is still going for 20/15.....Amare will be playing for the new Seattle Supersonics and going for 7/8 and liking it. ********************************************************************** THE GRADES >>>Suns: ++ (Bynum......oh hell yes) >>>Raptors: - (Ok, not total robbery...deal Amare and we'll take off one of the -'s)
