1st Runner Up
From Breakout Player to Letdown Player in one year?  Yikes.  2009/10
dude was sick going for 20/5.  This year, dude was hurt, buried and
traded en-route to a dismal 10/4 campaign.  Can he rebound?  Sure.
Will he?  .......doubtful.

Coming into the year, Tyreke was looking to build on an incredible rookie
season (one that saw him compared to MJ himself!).  Fast forward a year
and not only did Tyreke regress quite a bit but he was
hurt...ALL....THE....TIME!

Don't let them fool you.....anyone who owned CP3 last year was scared
out of their minds coming into the 2010/11 season.  Was he done?  Is he
as fragile as tissue paper now?  Trade him now?  What will the Knicks
do??

Luckily, CP3 put many of those doubts to rest and though he didn't regain
his for as an MVP candidate, he did rejoin the top 10 and next year could
be even better.  Letdown Player last year....nice recovery.
Holy Crap!  Talk about a break out.  Last season Love was a perfectly
serviceable forward with really nice 14/11 numbers.  This season dude
became a 20/15 monster.  He don;t block much (or ever) but he is a
rebounding machine and can also chip in a few dimes too.  Could we
see his name up on our MVP list soon?
What a bummer.  Yao has been a great ambassador for the game for
many years but his real strength was his play.  A near lock for 20/10 he
was a beast inside for several years.  Now though, it looks like it all may
be over.....who plays more games from here on out.....Yao?  Or Oden?
1st Runner Up
Yeah its that time.  Shaq may be at that point where we all start to say
"Wha?  He's still playin?!"

If anyone has earned the right to play as long as they want, its The Diesel
but man.....its starting to look grim for 2011/12.  Cmon Shaq....get back
for one more year in 50+ games!!
1st Runner Up
Young Jrue has gone from fantasy afterthought to fantasy star and he's
done it damn fast.  Last year he totaled just 1800 points while this year
he has jumped by over 1500 all the way to almost 3400 total points.  He
finished just 100 behind Kobe and next year he could go even higher.
1st Runner Up
This award goes to the Biggest Trade of the Year.  It could be a 7 for 7 deal with
role players or it could be a 3 for 3 deal with STUDS throughout......either way
unless we miss our guess, Denver will be in the running for this award darn
near every year.
1st Runner Up
Kobe flip-flopped to and from NY plenty of times this year, but in this deal
he was leaving.  As was Billups!  In return NY got Hickson and some
nice role-players to go with Dallas's 1st Round Pick.  In the end, Kobe is
back in NY and NONE of the players that NY got in this deal remain.
Looks like a regular day at the Knicks front office.
2nd Runner Up
Took a few years but The Pipers have finally made it to the top of the
mountain.  The crazy thing though is....they may not have reached their
peak.  Repeating will be almost impossible but...maybe....just....maybe....
1st Runner Up
This was a TOUGH call.  One one hand we wanna name the CP3 for
Monroe and a buncha picks as the best deal of the year.  But those picks
are looking a lot better now So....we go with this one.

Nash, still great.  Dirk, still great.  Scola is nice but Ariza and Anderson?
meh.  The Spurs won this one...and they will still be winning with it next
year!
1st Runner Up
This award goes to the best team of the regular season, record counts for a lot,
but it isn't everything.
1st Runner Up
2nd Runner Up
Kobe?  Baron?  Great studs....5 years ago.  Wall?  Hibbert?  NOT
carrying a team any time soon.  So, this squad has LaMarcus....and
really...thats it.  This team is so far from contending its a joke.
1st Runner Up
MVP......ROY.  Hasn't happened before, WON'T ever happen again.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
Some trades just end up looking lopsided at the end of the year....some trades
look lopsided right away.  This award goes to the team that made out like a
bandit..wether right away or by the end of the year.
This award goes to the Owner who was...the best.  What do you need to be "The
Best"?  Good team, good trades, good pickups, good finish, etc.....
This one was TOUGH.  After all, the league features a ton of stellar
guards young and old.  In the end though, no one has been quite as
electrifying as Rose.  He can do it all......and he WILL get even better!
King James didn't factor in the MVP race this year so his consolation
prize will have to be the award for Forward of the Year.  And really, if he
isn't ranked among the MVPs, he is pretty much a sure thing to win this
one every...single...year.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
We're sorry, but they all can't be good awards.  This one goes to the team
most likely to be irrelevant in the coming season.
Wait WAIT.  This guy isn't even a Center is he?!  The Blazers have
plenty of real centers.  Like...like Oden!  Ok, how about Przybilla?  No?
Camby?  Oh yeah not him either.  Makes it easy to see how a guy who
isn't even supposed to play the position wins this award with EASE.
Man I HATE DAN!!  But I also respect him.  The Magic SUCKED this year.
Who wants to be they push for The Playoffs next year?  Anyone?
Anyone?  Cause I would make that bet.
This award goes to the team ready to make the leap from Regular to
Post-Season, or possibly Post-Season to Title-Contender.
The winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up for MVP are not eligible for this award.
From challenges...to bets...to all out war and even Dan getting banned
from speaking!!!  These two go at it like almost no one else.  Not even
The Rock himself has as big a rivalry with Dan as Tim Cole.
....Now...keep it up boys!!
We'll just say he gets this award next year too.  For better or (in a few
cases) worse, Cole is the most active trader in just about every league
he's in, year in and year out.....AGAIN.
This one goes to the team whos....most active in trading.  Making the
most trades helps, but so does making the most offers, counters and
having the good sense to not get killed in every deal.
Take Love away from Seattle and what do you have?  A team that
can still win enough games to make the playoffs.  Take CP3 away
from the Heat?  Hurts, but Miami would still be loaded.  But take
Griffin away from Utah and what do you have?  Dwight....and NO
ONE else.  Thanks to Blake, Utah became a team that could no
longer be ignored.  One man making the irrelevant, relevant...thats
MVP in our book.
2nd Runner Up
1st Runner Up
Ya'll thought we were done didn't you?  Well have no fear, we're BACK
with the 2011 BW NBA Player AND Leagues Awards!  So read on to see
just who...finished where.
Look at who would have made the playoffs if the season ended week 15.
Yep, same exact teams that ACTUALLY made the playoffs.  Boring.
75-5!!!  Now THATS a record.  Portland captured the best regular season
record of all time this year while dominating all comers.  The stars have
stayed and this team looked poised to make another big run in 11/12.
Dunk of the Year would be too tough, as would Play of the Year.  Even the Oops of
the Year isn't easy to pick..but we think we can get close.  Enjoy...
